Jack saying they play Orpheus with a cost is just so precious to me. The idea that Orpheus (like George Seurat who Jack also played in the Sondheim on Sondheim concert) brought the world back into tune, but lost everything that he held dear to him in the process, is so heartbreaking but so real. Like Jack fully understands the cost of art and the artist's sacrifice (sondheim: "finishing the hat / how you have to finish the hat!")
