maaaaaaaaaaan. ridiculous to be calling DBD "pathetic" because it couldn't get licensing for various final girls. as if it hasn't always been because of some bullshit on the end of the copyright holders. fuck, we would have gotten more material from Hellraiser, had it not been for the copyright holders. we lost Stranger Things temporarily because of the copyright holders being out of touch with fans and greedy. Ghostface exists in the game because luckily, the character of Ghostface isn't actually owned by Big Bad Viacrap.
also like. DBD isn't Fork Knife. it's just not. and if I'm not mistaken-- it's not like Fork Knife has any horror character that DBD doesn't, apart from Eleven and Hopper. Eleven could never be in the game anyway, because any character added has to be over 18/a legal adult (for legal reasons). and we have Steve, Nancy, and Jonathan instead. It makes much more sense that they chose those characters for the game, as this followed S2, which made Steve one of the most popular characters from the show. so much so that he can even contend with Eleven in popularity.
and let's not downplay the fact that DBD does have other, very, very impressive licenses in it. such as Silent Hill. that was the first big thing Konami let happen with the ip in YEARS. Resident Evil was...HUGE. Wesker's chapter brought in an unprecedented number of players and anyone who played survivor at that time knows that for WEEKS, all you would get was Wesker after Wesker. We have Chucky and Tiffany, voiced by their original VAs. Sadako from the original Japanese Ringu, not the American version of the same concept! You can play as the Xenomorph, and the Xenomorph Queen! Vecna, from D&D is a killer, and he is voiced by Mr. Matt Mercer! We have Ash Williams, Alan Wake, Leon. S. Kennedy, Cheryl Mason, and very soon Lara Croft! and then After her-- we are getting Castlevania!! So there is no shortage of incredible of characters from horror that are in this game, and it's disrespectful to act like the people who work on this game don't care enough about it to try their fucking hardest to give fans the best possible licensed chapter dlcs they can. it's not their fault if the copyright holders want something different.
Besides, I think it's gross to suggest that DBD doesn't have a claim to the title of "Horror Hall of Fame" just because it doesn't have specific licensed characters in it. what about all the amazing original characters that the game has? do those suddenly not count, just because they do not include super well-known characters from popular old horror movies? A lot of these popular old horror movies don't include/don't give much of a spotlight to people of colour, so the original chapters often give the devs the room to add diversity to DBD's cast of characters, whereas a license might have otherwise not allowed it. and many of these original characters even have nods to existing horror media, like the End Transmission chapter drawing inspiration from both the horror-survival game SOMA, and the sci-fi horror movie/comic book Virus. Does the hard work that the many talented members of the DBD team put into making this original chapter, among many others, mean nothing, just because Sidney Prescott or Sally Hardesty aren't in the fucking game? I should hope the fuck not.

But like, I'm just wary of ship wars that use 'this is disgusting' to get all annoyed at shippers of the opposite ship.
See, I'm here being both very pro Mobius and Loki and Sylvie and Loki being a ship. Both are fun! I'd love Loki to slowly trust and fall for this amused, but tired guy who just doesn't feel threatened by Loki at all, that would be brilliant.
But IDK, that's not the love story they were doing, and I don't see anything inherently wrong with that. I get it not being for people.
I'm just an absolute sucker for 'two broken people find someone they can love and trust' stories. And that's Loki and Sylvie to the Max. I like trash couples, and I'm aware that I call them that to be half self-deprecating about it.
But hey, I'm absolutely going to be reading both Lokius (is that the ship name?) and Sylki fics after all this, so.
And like, the MCU does need more representation of queer couples, on screen. But as a Bi person I don't think it's biphobic to have them be in a relationship.
Also knife fight, then admission of care, then a final kiss before goodbyes? Yes. Please.
This was my exact thought. I adore both ships, they both bring a lot to the table. I would have loved to see Loki and Mobius together, or maybe him with someone that's not 'technically' himself, but the writers went with Sylvie and Loki, and I'm down for it. People sometimes forget that being bi and being gay are two separate sexualities, and a bi person has just as much of a right to love who they love as anyone else does.
Sylki is weird and unexpected, but there is nothing inherently wrong with it. It's what the writers chose, so we should all just accept it and go along for the ride that I sure season 2 will be. 😊

A second COVID wave has taken out the healthcare system. There are no more hospital beds. There's an oxygen shortage. There's a critical vaccine shortage. The Central Government has thrown its hands up and is passing the baton to the State Governments to do what they can.
There are over 16 million covid cases. A record 330,000 new cases reported yesterday - comparable to the US at its peak. 187,000 dead as of today.
There is no plan.
Mass cremations are taking place. The cremation grounds are running day and night and they are short on wood. People are watching their loved ones die while waiting for a hospital bed, and then they're unable to give them the proper burial rights.
Hospitals are overwhelmed. Patients are being confined, two to a bed. They're the lucky ones.
We are on the verge of people dying in the streets.
This is the second-most populous country in the world. The largest democracy. A country that encapsulates over 15,000 years of recorded human history and has endured everything from famine to invasion to colonisation.
We might be at the end. This might be the thing that does us in.
People are dying.

More good news? Variants are popping up. A double mutation strain has shown up. It is resistant to current vaccines. This will not go away. This is the devastation they warned of when the anti-maskers were out protesting the minor inconvenience of covering their face in public.
My country is on the verge of an emergency state. Our government has failed us. This is as dire a situation as it ever could be.
Look. I don't do much with my life. I write fics, some of you have read them and that's pretty much it. I spend my days with my head in the clouds because that's where I like to be.
But two days ago, my grandmother tested positive, had to be taken to hospital and the ambulance caught fire.
She barely made it to the urgent care she needs.
So, here I am, using whatever meager platform I have to cobble this request together. Because I have to do something.
Even a small amount of 5 or 7 or 10 of foreign currency will help a lot. Our government has essentially abandoned us. People have turned to social media for help. WhatsApp groups and DMs on twitter/insta is where we find help. Our helpline is a Google doc. Situation is so dire that hospitals are discharging patients due to lack of oxygen. Every night the same story, oxygen running out in hospitals, citizens running around to somehow arrange for oxygen with minutes to spare. Last night, we had manged to get oxygen to a hospital with 14min to spare.

This is my entry for the cosmetic contest for DBD. I've had this idea ever since the last contest. I always thought that Kate should have a circus themed outfit, since she came with the Clown and all.
Hey guys! I’ve been recently watching Little Nightmares 2 and I’ve got some Thoughts guys.
Little Nightmares 2 is not a prequel. It is the sequel. At the end of Little Nightmares, we see the eye where Six is. The little door that had a tower inside it. I think that Six went through the door after the Maw and suddenly she couldn’t use the powers she possessed.
She also wasn’t hungry anymore. (At least, not until the end of the game). The reason she couldn’t use her powers is because the Thin Man held a tight handle on knowing/acknowledging when Six has entered the world.
Oh, and yeah. It’s most def. a time loop. The time that it takes Six to go through the Maw again is how long it’s been since Mono becomes the Thin Man. And when she rejoins the World, child Mono is the one who greets her, no memories in his mind.
Sorry, but I'm almost positive it's a prequel. In the first game, whenever Six eats, you can see shadow Six in the corner. In LN2, we see how shadow Six was made, by the Thin Man stealing her away. And in the secret end, you see Six hungry for the first time, and her shadow directs her to a picture of the Maw, which is known for its endless food.
There is also no sign of her powers that she absorbed from The Lady. I don't think the Thin Man would be strong enough to suppress that much power, considering Mono was able to defeat him easily.
As for Six remembering, if you take a look at the comics, Six is known to forget things frequently.
It is definitely a time loop, though. It could be possible that Six is The Lady, and that both children are always destined to kill their older selves.
This channel has been the one constant in my life for the past year. Moving to a new country, struggling to find a job during the pandemic, and dealing with all the bullshit of my family, Unus Annus was always there. I had something to look forward to each day, and that's one of the only things that kept me sane during 2020. I'm going to be devastated when the day comes to an end.
But the clock doesn't stop ticking, and whether I'm ready or not, the end is coming. Hopefully, I'll see you all on the other side.
