This post will circulate until December 5. On December 6, I will organize and pair people to the best of my ability and judgment. 

December 7 — you will receive the url of the person you will be making something for. 

Gifts can range from graphics (promos, themes, icons) to art (character portraits, concept art) to writing (drabbles, fanfiction).  

Aim to deliver/submit your gift to them by December 25th, though the 26th is also fine.

DO NOT reveal your identity until the 25/26th. However, sending anonymous asks hinting at your identity are welcome.

She made her way from the hall alongside Senators Amidala and Organa, knowing full well that they were two individuals she could TRUST. “ Of course, it is my duty, as it is for us all, but sometimes I QUESTION the Chancellor’s statements and the real meaning behind the recent Senate meetings… ”

      “I wholeheartedly agree,” muttered the former queen to the Princess to her left. “Duty, however, dear Haru, is not always the right thing to do.” Padme loved her work, but as of late, it left a sour taste in her mouth to attend the meetings. She questioned the Chancellor just as much, if not more than, the Princess, and trusted him perhaps even less. Padme once would give her life for that man, but now... She wondered why she even thought that.

My AU is one where, instead of Padme dying in childbirth, she’s sent into a medically induced coma, where she remains for about two weeks, until Palpatine learns about her survival.

After learning this information, he seeks out the facility where she is being hidden, taking her off the life support system and essentially waking her up, but only for long enough to tell her everything that Anakin has done, not leaving out a single detail, and then placing her in a cryostasis for the remainder of the original trilogy. She’s kept this way as a sort of sick trophy, until Palpatine is killed, and the information about her is forcibly taken from his mind by Anakin/ Vader.

She found after the death of Anakin/ Vader by Luke and Leia, and released from her prison, after which she assists the twins in attempting to rebuild a semblance of peace.

     Overwhelming and mind bending pain. That was all Padme could feel in those hours after her separation from her beloved. She knew that when ( or if ) she awoke after the birth of her children, nothing would be the same. The galaxy was once again in peril, and it might as well be her fault for not reading the signs sooner. For not listening to Obi-Wan when he spoke nothing but the truth. A harsh one, but the truth nonetheless.

           Her greatest love had been stolen away. A stranger wore his face. He might as well have died. In fact, it might have been better for everyone if he had.

      But Padme had not the time, nor the energy, to think such thoughts, for despite what she had originally thought, she did awaken. And when she did, she had two newborns in her arms. They didn’t have time for grieving those who were now lost, as when the Senator had healed, the family was rushed to the new Resistance base, far at the reaches of the galaxy. They were to be kept safe from any searching eyes, and in particular, the twins’ father, for no one knew what would become of, well, anyone, were he to find them.

            But that did nothing to stop Padme from hoping, praying, and dreaming. Of one day being reunited with her husband.

     There weren’t many people that Padme had loved in life, so when they passed, she personally tasked herself with watching over their children. With chasing away their nightmares and the monsters under the bed, and, if they happened to be Force sensitive, speaking to them in their dreams. Guiding them through their lives, to become better people, and to prevent anyone else from knowing the pain she had.

         Hence her particularly close eye on the young princess Haru. Padme knew that, after being sent away and losing his father almost in the same instant, that Ben Solo would never be the same, and he and Haru had been inseparable as children. It was for this reason the former Queen spoke to Haru not only in her dreams, but in person. She was oft to lay a comforting hand on the girl’s shoulder, and take walks with her through the rose gardens. It was here that Padme gave Haru her nickname; Rose.

     It was on one of these excursions, with the youngster running about and pointing out various types of roses, that Padme say before one of the tallest bushes and patted the ground next to her.

          “What shall become of you, my little Rose?” she asked, a faint, yet sad smile gracing her shimmering features.

     The once Queen gave the First Order officer a soft smile, but it did not reach her eyes. In truth, the fact of any of her people joining the Order was taken as a personal insult. She crossed her arms and rose a brow, sighing before she began to speak.

     Padme was quick to rush for the door, nearly tripping over a side table in her haste. A bright smile lit her features, and she was quick to wind her arms around the much taller man’s shoulders. It had been three months since they’d last seen each other in person, and holograms just weren’t the same as holding your beloved, feeling their heartbeat, and smelling their familiar, unique scent.

          “Ani, it’s been too long!” She said, her nose burrowed in his robes. She refused to let her tears fall, but after two weeks of no contact, and with him being on the front lines of the war, she had begun to fear. This single moment was a weight off her shoulders.
