for those who don't understand what is meant by "just assume you're in your dr" ‧₊˚♪𝄞࿐₊˚⊹
throughout my shifting journey i had always heard this phrase repeated in advice posts and i was only ever able to process it through the mindset of, "oh, so whenever i think about my cr, i'll just repeat 'i'm in my dr' to drown it out." i operated under that same mindset for months with little progress, until one night.
(disclaimer: you do not need to be a walking shifting encyclopedia to successfully shift! you can... and do... shift without even meaning to. this is something i wish i would've known sooner, even if it seems self explanatory LOL)
what happened to me:
i laid down in bed for the night, as usual, desperately wanting to shift. i got into a comfortable position and started robotically affirming "i'm in my waiting room." my affirming became second-nature, and before i knew it, i was simultaneously daydreaming about my dr (i couldn't help myself sorry). i paid absolutely no mind to my physical surroundings whatsoever, i was just in my head thinking about stupid stuff... UNTIL... i hear my cat meow, and it seems like he's in such close proximity to me that he's directly next to my bed, watching me sleep. i shrug it off, thinking he's in the hallway and just being loud for no reason. i continue doing my method (if you could even call it that..) for another 2 minutes or so. and then suddenly... i feel my cat jump on my bed. clear as day, i hear the sheets shift, i feel his paws on my leg & his weight making the mattress dip. i almost have a heart attack. i jump up. i'm under the impression i forgot to let him out of my room, or maybe he opened my door again and got in himself (he's scary like that). he's nowhere to be found. i get up, turn the lights on, check the whole room: under my bed, under my desk, under the covers. he's nowhere to be seen. i leave my room to find him fast asleep on his bed, on the other side of the house. i realize... he's in my waiting room, the exact place i was affirming i was the entire time leading up to this debacle.
I UNDERSTAND NOW!!!!!!!!!
i was in my waiting room that whole time, with absolutely no clue of it. for longer than that split-second scare from my cat, and likely for longer than the two minutes following him yapping in my ear. i LITERALLY should have assumed that i was in my waiting room, rather than conflating assuming with setting intention/affirming. you may not feel a thing when you shift, or even notice that you've shifted. you're not waiting for a sudden -click- into a new reality, it's seamless. don't get caught up in the expectation of waiting for your surroundings to change when you're probably already there and haven't yet noticed. shoutout bibble for helping me realize this ₍^. .^₎⟆
i feel like people on shiftblr never spell things out so i’m going to try my hand at it.
it is true that the moment you decide to shift, you do. this is because your awareness is not attached to anything, it will simply do what you want it to do because it is you. you’re not your thoughts, your doubts, or even your feelings. you are the observer of those things.
so if that’s the case, why are you still having difficulty experiencing the shift in the 3d?
well, dear reader, the reason for that is simple. your awareness may move instantly, but it’s still funneled through your mind. your mind is still the thing that has to register, “oh yeah, we’re in a different reality now.” therefore, if your mind is going through a bunch of hoopla, it’s more likely for it to just miss the shift even though it already happened.
think of it like switching radio channels. the channel changes instantly. awareness = your hand turning the dial up or down. if you’re wearing headphones blasting your own music, you won’t hear the new channel. nothing blocked the switch. you saw yourself make the decision to turn the dial and do it. but you didn’t consciously hear the music change and you won’t until you take the headphones off.
well, how do i take the headphones off then?
by dropping the idea that the 3d is the baseline in which you measure reality from. the only reason people don’t notice their shift is cause they’re still looking to the 3d to prove to them that their awareness shifted. you must trust yourself, trust your awareness and stop giving the 3d that authority. there’s nothing to “check” against!
whatever you say goes, goes. your awareness follows because that is the law. ironically, it is when you fully adopt that attitude that you will notice instantaneous shifts. because you’re not waiting for confirmation from something outside your awareness. you’re letting awareness define the moment by itself.
the next time you go to set intention you want to have your mind and awareness in alignment. fully agree (and feel) that your 3d isn’t your reference point anymore. release expectation of what it should feel like or how long it should take. it takes no time because awareness shifts instantly and you are awareness.
then when you set your intention you can do a few things: (choose which suits you best OR do your own thing)
1. envision your dr and imagine each sense. narrate it in your head like you’re looking around right then and there.
2. embody your dr self’s mind. what would you be thinking in your dr? who are you? what are you doing?
3. just surrender. breathe. set your intention with a simple and clear phrase. don’t repeat yourself or try to convince yourself. just accept it and be.
finally, if you catch yourself slipping back into checking, simply redirect by repeating one of these steps. not in a desperate “oh it’s not working, i failed, let me start over way.” it’s just to ease your mind. and if you’re really chill, you can just ignore the thought. it means nothing!

oh my god!!! i read this like 30 minutes ago and decided to try it, and i was successful!!!!!!!!
okay so i was in the kitchen and heard my mom walking by so i decided to go to a universe where my mom comes to the kitchen and asks me "ah do we have any tea left.. im really craving some.". (i know its silly lollll)
i sat, envisioned her in the kitchen, looking at our teapot, saying it and my reaction when she says it. i made myself believe that it was going to happen and didnt let any doubt come.
then she really came to the kitchen and started to do her own things. i just sat and watched her and kept visualizing, then i was like "okay its gonna happen in a few minutes, i dont have to worry no more." and started to wash dishes and talk to her about random things. just when i forgot about it, she looks at the teapot, and tells me the exact thing i wanted her to say😭😭😭 i just froze and started laughing so hard lollllll

ㅤ❝ a reminder that this reality is not special ,
that isn't to say that this reality is worth less than any other, for the record. what i mean is that i don't believe that shifting is set at a higher difficulty here as opposed to anywhere else, which seems to be a subconcious belief within this community that we have yet to shake.
this belief can be traced all the way back to the dawn of shifttok in 2020, when it was ingrained in our heads by people who claimed to have shifted that while shifting from this reality is conditional on a bunch of things, shifting back to this reality is seamless. it happens in seconds, with no chance of you not succeeding, effort be damned. and while that is great and true, at the same time... if you don't need to meditate or script or count to a hundred to shift back from your dr —
— then why is it necessary to do any of that shit to shift from this reality? (newsflash. it's not)
the only difference between the "difficulty" of shifting from here vs shifting back is mindset. that's geniuenely it. you don't shift back from your dr instantly because you're "better" at shifting there, or because it's "easier" to do it from there. in case it wasn't clear : your ability to shift is the same in every reality. depending on where you're shifting to, it may even be the only thing that you have in common with the version of you that exists here.
and the sooner you internalise that, the sooner you can stop feeling dependant on the idea that shifting has to be a long drawn out process that takes hours, months, or even years. it doesn't have to be.
let this be your reminder that you can shift instantly from any reality, including this one. this is not the one place where it's harder by deafult and belief is not enough.
it is, and it has been from the start.
non dualism and shifting
non dualism states that you are consciousness. you are not this human body, the mind, your thoughts but are only ever consciousness. everything else that exists is also consciousness because nothing can exist without you becoming conscious of it. there is no separation but oneness (consciousness/pure awareness).
understand that consciousness is the true reality.
everything outside of consciousness is unreal and temporary. ex. a second ago you were not aware of your hand holding your phone but now that you’ve been reminded of this, you’re now aware of it. see how before when you were not conscious of this it simply didn’t exist? that’s because it did not which is what makes it temporary and unreal.
→ your ego (thoughts, beliefs, the mind, your name, the body etc. ) is also not real as they can come and go. you will always be consciousness, that’s it.
labels ex. ‘phone’ ‘hair’ ‘bed’ make it seem like things are separate from us but they are not. they are all forms of consciousness with a pretty name added on-top. if you strip them of said labels, it’s just consciousness.
time isn’t real. when you imagine something it’s instant. when you imagine the past, present and future it happens in the now. there is no ‘delay’ (i will make a post dedicated to this only)
non dualism isn’t a ‘method’ or ‘technique’. it’s a lifestyle which you have always lived but may have not been aware of yet.
reality shifting is you(awareness) becoming aware of another reality to shift to. simply decide that you are there.
you don’t need physical proof to ‘fully believe’ that you are there. remember, you are consciousness which means you are the source. as the source → you create forms of consciousness. so if i imagine a cake it’s no less real than one in the physical world.
without the source (consciousness), how would other forms of consciousness exist?
awareness is proof, not the physical world. if i tell you to become aware of your chair your awareness drifts to the chair. sure, you may have pointed at it but your ‘knowingness’ of said chair was THE CONCRETE PROOF before you looked at it.
awareness is simply reflecting what you declare as true. what is true will always bloom. (corny ik)
you(awareness) decide that you have shifted → treating the choice as proof rather than what you see → will be interpreted as reality.
once you decide that you are in your desired reality there’s nothing else to do. creation is finished. you don’t need to affirm 5 billion times (you can if you want) but why would i need to affirm when i know its already completed?

How to manifest
Decide what you want.
Remind yourself you have it whenever you think about it.

Manifestation is only complicated if you decide it is.
consciousness = location
your consciousness is not physically bolted to this reality. if it were, you wouldn't have dreams, you wouldn't hallucinate, you wouldn't even be able to visualise a beach
every single time you imagine anything, that's proof your awareness can move
the brain cannot distinguish between imagined and real stimuli
this is literally the foundation of sports psychology, trauma recovery, even hypnosis. your body responds to what your mind accepts
multiverse theory and infinite timelines and particles reacting to observation and particles being in two places at once. YES. reality surprisingly is not a fixed hallway. it's. like. a soup
it is a vibrating probability field where everything exists at once and your assumptions decides which apple you'll be plucking from the tree

“But I’m still in my CR” “But I still can’t shift”
Let’s ruin that illusion real quick because this is the last time I’ll address this. This red coke can is your CR:
Lately you’ve gotten a bit sick of its flavor, so you want to shift to your DR, which is this lovely black can of Coke Zero:
So you shift—doesn’t matter if it's law of assumption, law of attraction, non-duality, rampaging, witchcraft, whatever it is that floats your boat. You shift. You did your shifting attempt.
You open your eyes and see the same red coke can you’ve seen a thousand times:
You roll your eyes because you were supposed to shift last night, you intended to be in your DR, you did your method, your affirmations, your rampage, your prayer, your script, your meditation, your meltdown, your “I am god” moment—and yet you wake up, look around, and it’s still the same damn red can.
“It didn’t work.” “I’m still here.” “Nothing happened.”
But zoom in. Click on the image and zoom in. What color is the can? The stripes you swore were red are actually black. The red is a lie. An illusion. Your eyes don’t see reality. They see light. Your brain doesn’t render reality. It predicts it, using your observations, and yesterday’s data as a stencil because continuity feeds you an illusion that’s easier to process than the raw truth.
Does this mean that reality is delayed? No. If you think there’s a gap you need to sit in, waiting until your brain catches up, it’s an illusion.
And then you spend months, years, stacking up these optical illusions. After every shifting attempt, you add another to the pile. Soon, you’re sitting on a mountain of black cans you swear are still red.
And that’s fine. Because what you intend—is. If you keep observing your CR and toss aside your intention because “it didn’t work,” then yeah, you’re in your CR. The minute you look for ways to re-do the intention, the intention is dropped.
Butttt, your mind knows that you intend to shift, just like it knows how to shift. The intention to shift is within your awareness, so it never leaves you, just like how the ability to shift and be in your DR is within your awareness. Or that you intend to become a master shifter. So look at your collection.
*gasp*You’re a master can collector now! You’re a master shifter without even realizing it. Every single “failed” attempt is a black can in your stash. That’s evidence. Proof. Each can says: you did it, you shifted, you intended, you acted.
You’ve been a master shifter from the moment you decided it, but now you have a mountain of cans proving it to yourself.
You might be in your CR right now if that’s what you intend, but you have the ability to shift to your DR whenever you want.
Intention = Decision. The moment you intend, it is.
Wavering = Doubt/complaints. This does not erase intention. It’s like whining after submitting an order—it doesn’t cancel it unless you actively cancel it.
Dropping intention = Actively deciding you don’t have it anymore. You chose to retract. But the intention isn’t GONE. It’s still in your pile.
“I know I have it, but—” Cool, that’s just you wavering. So long as you know it’s yours, say whatever you want.
“I’m not in my DR because I tried to shift and it didn’t work, so now I have to try again” Aaaaand you threw your Coke Zero can back into the pile.
SHIFT EVERY TIME WITH THIS NEW METHOD.
I heard about this method from this guy on TikTok (@ damon.shifttok). He created the method, so credits to him—and I honestly thought that shit was incredible.
I tried it, and it was super easy, very comfortable, and I had a dream of my DR. It just felt perfect.
It takes advantage of getting into a hypnagogic state, and as somebody who’s been shifting like 24/7, I’m very familiar with that state—and I’ve never seen a method (not even my own) that takes advantage of it as well as this one does.
So basically what you do:
You lay down however you feel—like however you’d naturally fall asleep. If you sleep on your side, get on your side. If you’re a stomach sleeper, you’re weird, but get on your stomach.
Then, you count to 100. Every 5 numbers or so, you say an affirmation. Instead of just straight-up counting, I decided to count my breaths using triangle breathing instead, because that helps me relax better.
While you’re relaxing into that state (and he said something that really stuck with me—use it as a meditation), your mind knows you’re trying to shift. So instead of focusing on shifting, just focus on relaxing while you’re in that meditative state. Your body will do the rest for you.
Every 5 breaths, I’d say something. Like on the 6th breath (instead of counting), I’d say an affirmation like:
“I shift in my sleep.”
Then I’d say that same affirmation for the next 5 breaths.
On the 11th, I’d say it again.
On the 16th, and so on.
And I wouldn’t count those “affirmation breaths.”
Then around 25, I’d switch it up. The affirmations I used were just what I wanted to say in the moment.
I tried his method twice—once exactly how he said it, and another time where I amended it to be more comfortable for me. The time I amended it? That’s when I had the DR dream. So I’ll share how I amended it.
Some of the affirmations I said were:
• “My body knows how to shift in its sleep.”
• “I’m a master shifter.”
• “Shifting is easy.”
• “I can shift in the blink of an eye.”
I did my count to 100, and my mind was already wandering. BTW: when your mind is wandering, just do a little bit more. That’s a good thing—it means you’re entering the right state.
My mind drifts really easily, so I wasn’t stressed about it. By 70, I was drifting. I got to 100 and was like, “Let me do 50 more.” By the time I finished the next 50, I was on the brink of sleep—which is perfectly where you want to be.
Now here’s the next part:
At this point, you start just repeating stuff about your DR. Repeat facts. I was in a meditative state enough where I wasn’t thinking of anything else—just focusing on the darkness while I affirmed.
I said things like:
• “I was born in 1779.”
• “My birthday is July 28th.”
• “I’m a Seeker on the Gryffindor team.”
• “My name is __________.”
I just said whatever facts I could think of. And I wasn’t really visualizing with the intent to shift—I was just seeing what I was saying. You know when your eyes are closed, you’re sleepy, and you start imagining what you’re thinking? It was like that. I saw my dad. I saw my significant other. And then I drifted to sleep.
Now, the original method says to first say stuff about being in your DR and then about being a master shifter—but for me, this way felt easier and more natural. Saying things about being a master shifter first gave me confidence and helped me facilitate the shift. Then, saying facts about my DR helped me lock in to where I was going.
There is one part I kinda forgot to do (because I was basically asleep at this point), but you’re supposed to feel how you’d feel if you were already in your DR—like enter the emotional state of your DR self.
For example, if I’d remembered this part before falling asleep, I would’ve felt very nervous because it’s my first day of fourth year and I’m seeing my S/O after only exchanging letters all summer. But I’d also be super excited for the Hogwarts feast, for the gift exchange me and him planned, and to catch up with him. I’d probably be overthinking a little bit—making sure I had everything packed, going over my outfit, thinking about how I’m going to spend that long-ass train ride, that sort of thing.
Just feel the emotions.
If you want to do it awake, just repeat the method until you feel your surroundings shift or move.
But because I had already affirmed things like “my body knows how to shift in its sleep,” I felt very confident falling asleep—and I’m glad I did.
The method is honestly great, and I’m going to start using it all the time.
I had a very vivid dream about my DR, which I haven’t had in a really long time.
In the dream, I was playing cards against Ron. He kept trying to convince me that I was a Veela.
He was betting tons of money on the game, and Harry was watching—very unimpressed. First of all, he was just deadpanning at Ron since I was winning. And second, he knows my entire ancestry, so he knows I’m not a Veela—which made him cringe even harder.
We were in the Gryffindor common room by the fire. It was interesting. I just woke up with that image of me and Ron playing cards, him saying that kind of thing.
I don’t know. It seems very on-brand for my DR self and that reality.
Try the method. It’s called the Mason Jar Method.
It’s incredible.
Side note:
If I have a decrease in post frequency, I apologize in advance. My soccer pre-season is starting, and I’m super locked in on that because I was promised a captain spot when the season officially begins—so in the meantime, I’m grinding and trying to get in shape.

👉 You can literally change any person or any situation in your reality. period. 👈
I know people love to throw around that whole “you can’t change a man,” “just let it go,” “it’s not meant for you,” blah blah blah — but all of that? yeah. It’s just someone else’s limiting belief system that you accidentally internalized. None of that is law. It’s just noise.
You don’t have to “let it go” if you don’t want to. You don’t have to walk away if you don’t feel like it. And no, it’s not toxic or desperate to want to change something. What’s toxic is telling people they’re powerless when they’re not.
So, if you want to change a person? cool. If you want to change a situation? amazing. If you want to walk away because it feels better for YOU? also valid. But just know that the only reason you can’t change someone is if you decide you can’t. That’s it.
And babes... can we talk about the self-concept rabbit hole for a sec?
People really out here thinking they need to become hot af, flawless, magnetic, glow-up royalty just to manifest a person to love them or money to flow in. No. like, pls stop making it complicated.
You don’t need to affirm “I’m a goddess” on repeat until your voice breaks just to get your SP to treat you right. You don’t need to morph into some aesthetic Pinterest queen to make $10k a month. (unless you want to for fun, then go off 🧚♀️✨)
What do you need? ✅ to change your assumption. ✅ to shift your concept of that person or situation. ✅ to STOP giving the 3D your power.
Neville said it best:
“To change a man, you must change your conception of him.”
He didn’t say “go to therapy for 6 years,” or “repeat ‘I am amazing’ 600 times while crying.” He said: Change your assumption. That’s it.
So let me hit you with a real example:
You’ve got a guy who’s a total player. Everyone says it. he’s never committed. He ghosts. you name it.
But one girl comes along and says, “No. He’s actually really loving and loyal. He’s emotionally available. He’s ready to settle down — with me.”
And guess what? Suddenly, he’s in a happy, committed relationship with her.
Was she prettier? no. Did she have some magical script? no. She just had a different conception of him. That’s literally it.
Same goes for money, career, friendships, and health. Your assumption decides how things show up.
Stop wasting time feeding old assumptions with inner conversations like:
“They’re probably ignoring me again.”
“They never commit.”
“It’s too hard to make that much money.”
Like… why are you affirming THAT when you could literally be saying:
“They’re obsessed with me.”
“They’re already acting how I want them to.”
“Money flows to me so easily it’s ridiculous.”
You already KNOW this works. You've seen success stories. hell, you've probably had one yourself. So, stop giving attention to the old story just because the 3D looks a certain way.
