This weeks #inspiredweekly came late also... but it gave me time to think it through. This week, I've been inspired by the youtube channel @soulpancake n_n. Seriously, I stumbled upon this video and was blown away. Who knew people could be the happiest by being thankful. No wonder God calls us to be thankful in our hardships, or to pray to him with praise & thanksgiving. He wants us to have our heart be full of joy no matter what happens. After first seeing this, I wished they were joking. It's hard to be thankful when you have so many problems. For me, I have issues at work, maintaining a solid relationship with my family, trying to keep up with friends (or at least trying to understand half the stuff some of them do), keeping things together with roommates, money in general, doing music, school, and other relationships that cause massive amounts of stress. It is so hard to be optimistic. Still, I tried out the challenge the video gave. I went to work, and I expressed my gratitude to God right before I worked... and the results were amazing. They say that a prideful soul isn't amazed at anything, so I definitely felt humble after that. Not only that, but it sparked this fire in me to keep doing it. I just couldn't stop shooting compliments at people to give them the joy I felt. Seriously, ask @sheis_love about our date yesterday. She gave me a "megaphone" and almost every idle person got something from me. Whether it was "Have an awesome day", "You're awesome", or "I like your _____". Soulpancake's whole channel sparked me to do something other than walk around with my headphones on. Me & my pink megaphone are going on compliment-drive-by's from now on. In short, SoulPancake is why I'm inspired. =)

This week's #InspiredWeekly goes to a woman by the name of @mondaiji_me but I'm special enough to call her mom. The crazy thing is that lately I've been going through an emotional lull, and she unknowingly made me "wake up". I know you can agree, we all hit an apathetic valley once in a while, and that's harder to get out of. Mom reminded me that my heart is not only devoted to God, but to my family, friends, the lost, and so on so forth. Lately, I haven't visited her place, and she always comes to my job and visits me. While I appreciate it, I feel guilty for not even putting in a little bit of tim to drop by and say hi. Not a phone call or a text... I'm a lousy son right now. But through a small interaction, I realized that loving God consists of loving those around me with my time as well as my talents. Am I no longer apathetic? A guy told me about his dream the other day after church. He was walking along a hill only to hear the sound of groans and yelling. He gets over the hill and sees a sea. Humanity in an overwhelming number. The proceed to shout "Please, let us in!" Yelling towards a circle of light shining ahead of the dark crowd. A voice responds "I cannot, for you did not accept my son." And they respond "well, who was he? We never knew him!" And so as a christian, we can at first just see a sea of people and move on, but God calls us to attend the cries of despair. Because we must rescue life. We got a world to tend to. I was at this animation screening a while back with @junnimac and this short film came on. I vaguely remember what it was about, but it had a lot to do with someone taking care of a house... and not doing it. The cat apparently wanted attention, so it turnt the place up trying to be with the person in charge and he got in trouble. But then eventually the cat got caught too. It reminds me a lot of jesus's parable of the tenants. They're left in charge of the house, and are free to do whatever they like, but they must take care of the house. Sin may come in and turn the place up but we can't be distracted by it. We have a duty. The owner of the house is coming back so if we aren't taking care of his house when he returns... guess what happens. This isn't meant to scare but inspire, so it points directly to what could be on the opposite end of things. The owner may welcome you to stay longer, and treat you to the finest things in his house. The crazy thing is like the owner in the short, Jesus leaves us with a few things to remember. He's coming back. He loves us. So are you doing your chores? So, today was stinking sick. I got to record a track I haven’t worked on in a while, and I’m so eager to put up the demo very soon. It was funny because it was a track I wrote a couple years ago, and now I relate to every word in it at this point in my life. God made that super funny. Then I got home. FB & IG showdown over the #SCOTUS decision. Man… what a mental joust. But someone I didn’t expect to have my back actually did more defending of the faith than I did. @ari_boo_r5 put in work! Like, not even joking. The girl was on point with living out the “watch your life AND doctrine" scripture clearly in her comments. I was thoroughly impressed and encouraged. People on the comment board actually began to agree with us… and that I never saw coming. Good job buddy. And finally… to make sense out of the picture… for a few hours, I was a #20dollarballer with the bill above. Three girls came into #ihizzle and ordered to go… and they were pretty… young. Like, they looked my age. No lie, they were kinda pretty, but #iaintscrugglinhomie haha. But seriously, they came in, made an order, and got a good amount of food. I think the girl who ordered was named Beatriz? But yeah, so I put it in, and do my usual #hosthustle and stay polite the whole time with constant “anything else" and “what kind of ____ would you like?" Questions. So I finally pull the order out the kitchen and bring it to them… stock it with syrup and stuff, and ask if they need anything else? Steak sauce, marinara, ect… and she’s like “Oh, yeah steak sauce". So I walk back to the kitchen, get some a1, and bring it back to her. She paid with card, but left no tip on it, so I assumed she wouldn’t leave one anyhow… and so I was cool with working hard (due to my #inspiredweekly post and such) and not getting anything in return. She then hands me a bill and says “here, this is for you" and I go " thank you. =) have a nice day". And I begin to walk away… only to unravel it and see a 2 and a 0… so. Stinking. This week's #InspiredWeekly goes to my coworker Tania I have never seen someone smile so stinking much. It's contagious how much she does, but that's the least of her impact. Today, she was one of the most complimented servers to date in my time at #ihizzle (yes, I didn't actually say the name). Seriously, every time I asked how someone's time there was and I got "Oh, it was amazing! Our server was so awesome" I looked down at the check and her name was right there. But, this doesn't say much. By seeing all of these compliments, it modivated me to work harder. It reminded me that My work even there is to reflect God, and so if Tania can work so hard that everyone she had loved her? I can definitely make sure the people leave with a smile.
