RANT TIME:

Ya’ll might think I’m f*cking crazy but I must say this: IM STILL NOT OVER THE WAY CORDELIA CHASE WAS RUINED AT THE END OF THE SHOW. 

When I saw this scene I for real started scream crying because Cordelia is EVERYTHING. She and Angel are a FAMILY. They are literally all that each other has, and they launched a company together, Cordelia got him started really finding a place for himself in L.A. and she helped him interact better with other people. They lost Doyle together and they gained a new team together and it is RIDICULOUS and UNBELIEVABLE that they would write Cordelia off and not have Angel mourn her death. Im so angry it makes me sick.

Not have Angel mourn her death? huh? She was in a coma and then when she actually died he was devastated but she gave him a final mission and he did it.  I don’t like that they wrote Cordy off either, but they didn’t act like she never existed or something?  A big part of why he was acting the way he was throughout Season 5 was because she wasn’t around anymore.  Plus, he couldn’t really talk about it as much because the others on the team had their memories tampered with about what actually happened to her.

At the end of the day, Fred got a Hero’s goodbye. She got an entire 40 minute episode about her death. Spike and angel went to the ends of the earth to try to save her life, literally.

Cordelia got like, Angel looking sad at the end of an episode. And they don’t mention her again really.

It just hurts my feelings. It felt so natural to have her around in You’re Welcome and then this character that originated on Buffy and had developed so fruitfully and literally started Angel investigations is just dead in a coma.

Joss wrote Cordy off because he was mad at her. Common knowledge. So anyone saying she got a proper send off is wrong. It was a shame. Final seasons of Angel were wasted compared to final seasons of Buffy.

Yeah I know that.  It doesn’t change how I feel about her last episode, which I really liked and I thought was respectful to the character.  I wasn’t talking about what happened to her in Season 4 which I didn’t like.  If she had just died in a coma without that final episode then I would feel her character was disrespected.  But that’s not what happened.  She got a good final episode and she drove the entire finale by giving Angel his final mission. The Final Season of Angel was better than Buffy Season 6 and 7 combined imo.  So, whatever.
