What happens if Bruno did leave the Encanto?

“So, see any rain coming?”

“You promised not to use that against me!” Bruno muttered as he held Paola’s right hand.

Once Papa Quintero came around to Bruno, and saw how much Paola cared about him, Mama Quintero started planning a wedding. It wasn’t so much Bruno proposing as a family meeting in which the date was decided.

It felt soon, but Bruno was happy to become a part of a family, to have a new home. He’d always admired his sister’s marriages and Felix and Augustin were amazing guys. But in the Encanto… Nobody saw him as much else than the bringer of unclear prophecies.

The priest looked awfully smug as he officiated. The feast and party were a delight, but Bruno still didn’t see the big deal about weddings. He loved the days he had alone with Paola the most, and the wedding was filled with the family and the village and jokes and dirty remarks about their wedding night. Bruno wasn’t great in conversation, and especially when everyone looked at him. Paola made all his awkward remarks sound like jokes and otherwise spun the attention around.

I think..

to think that the most inspiring thing I have ever read that could potentially change my life and how I perceive it by now (if I wasn’t so lazy to begin with) was from a 19 year old named leorio (who was for some reason wearing a shirtless suit and running for his life). He said and I quote, 

“I realized that I can keep going, if I don’t worry about how stupid I look”

major revelation, huh? no for real though, I’m so inspired that I could start my own twitch channel playing Genthin impact or something, or wake up every morning at 5 am to run around the neighborhood, or even start a small business selling some of the things I have been experimenting on lately. Basically anything that I have always thought of but didn’t have the courage to do it because other people might look at me funny, or because somebody has already done this, so why should i. 

the problem is, I always find a reason why I shouldn’t start on doing these things. there is always a missing component that could prevent me from starting whatever it is. its like im my own obstacle, and I hate myself so much for it sometimes.

im so afraid of missing out on the things I could do now, im so afraid that when im 60 something, I look back at my life and start to regret things. god how terrifying is that. imagine regretting the way you lived your life when youre on your deathbed? 

but again, if I did apply what leorio said as my driving motto, and start on doing the things I’ve always wanted to do, if I stopped thinking about how stupid im going to look like, though at least, I think I would be happy. wouldn’t that be enough?

Headcanon Number 362: Raine Whispers is never, and will never be, one hundred percent sure whether or not Luz is Eda's biological child. Mostly due to Luz and Edas shared behavior.

They constantly tell themselves, " No...no. Luz is adopted. She is clearly human and is DEFINITELY not mine and Eda's love-child. She. Is. Adopted."

Then, approximately 17 seconds later, Luz pulls up in a stolen Salvation Army van that is loaded with clothes, blankets, and all of the cash from the registers. Luz, with the plan to give all of the items to the homeless, shouts to Eda and Ranie look what she did!

Eda watches on with misty eyed pride and Raine, nonetheless proud, is in a state of confusion as to Luz's status of blood relation.

I think the triplets’ 50th birthday was a particularly hard one… Bruno watches his sisters blow their candles from his peephole in the walls, and his only companion on his birthday is a rat 😭

my read on camilo is that while great at cheering people up, he's incredibly uncomfortable with vulnerability and terrible at actually comforting someone without brushing off their hurt... so you can imagine what that combo will do to a (slightly insensitive at the best of times) five year old with a deeply hurt cousin and a family that needs him to keep everyone smiling

So I finally watched Encanto a little late to the party I know and now I can't stop thinking about post-movie Bruno who is just. Really Weird. He slowly becomes a part of his family and community again but 10 years of living in the walls with no human contact and very little sunlight really Does Something To Ya and that doesn't go away overnight.

He's spent the past 10 years mostly talking to himself and to rats, so his conversational skills are a bit...odd. He swings between visibly anxious and kinda freaked out while talking to being very flat and abrupt. He gets better over time, but never quite gets back to where he used to be

Speaking of the rats, those little buddies are his Friends and this does Not Change

After living in such a confined space for so long, he sometimes gets really freaked out if he's outside too long

He's so used to having to sneak around in shadows any time he was outside of the walls that he just. Keeps doing that by habit now, which is unintentionally Very Creepy sometimes

He 100% still uses "Hernando" as a coping mechanism in situations where he's uncomfortable or scared. This lessens over time but never fully goes away, and his family learns to recognize Hernando's appearance as a sign that Bruno maybe needs a bit of comfort

He sometimes forgets that he's an active member of interactions again now and will sometimes just. Sit there staring when someone tries to talk to him before remembering Oh Yes, Other People Are Aware Of My Presence Again
