Ok but why the hell didn't Perry the platypus have a gun. Like he's already underpaid
Zeus is some over-tanned bodybuilder instructer who lives in florida.
Odin is a grouchy lobster-shack regular in Portland, Maine.
I will not elaborate further.

this reads like one of those official tumblr posts
bringing this back because this is the funniest part of a 38 minute video that got copyright striked and took down this girls entire channel
some game dev in circa 2003: hey can we get a song for our scrimblo bimblo french comic book licensed game lol
guy about to fucking go primal beast mode and drop the hardest breakbeat track in the universe: ok
why would you talk about Asterix & Obelix with such a flippant tone.
One of my favourite tropes is "character who you wouldn't think is good with kids is actually great with kids"
I think one thing I really didn't get when I was like 20 is that "small talk" is often a way for people to hint at the bigger deeper things that are going on with them without overloading someone. like it can be an invitation and a chance to test the waters before launching into things that it may or may not be the appropriate time/place/person to talk about those things with.
like when someone asks "how are you," you don't have to respond with "good," but it also isn't necessarily a good context to go straight to "I keep flipping my shit at people I love because I can't regulate my emotions and I'm afraid of them dying or abandoning me," plus if someone isn't used to broaching that kind of topic at the beginning of an interaction it gives them a chance to develop the kind of comfortability to be able to talk about that stuff. some people will reach that point sooner than others, whether it's over 10 minutes or multiple years.
also, I've realized that it's a shame to dismiss talking about things besides our deepest troubles as being meaningless. human connection is meaningful even if it is just about the weather or how our family or our favorite sports team is doing, and knowing how someone feels about these supposedly surface topics tells us a lot about eachother that can be applied to topics you may consider more personal or impactful, and forming that foundation with someone is absolutely not something to be pushed aside as trivial.
Small talk is social calibration. You calibrate a system before you use it for intense or precise work.
The first useful thing I have ever read about small talk. Actually made me appreciate it.
i kinda imagine you as like a 90s teenage girl lying on her bed painting her nails and talking on the phone when you make posts
thats exactly what’s happening
Some amazing book dedications:
the three genders are girl, bestie, and king
i don't usually make these kinds of posts but in the tags tell me what symbolic imagery you associate yourself with i'm curious. personally i associate myself with dogs, eyes, the color red, and wings.
what's your favorite word?? in english, polish, or whatever other languages you may speak :)
vainglorious! idk why it just has such incredible vibes. it makes me think of acts of hubris and pride before a fall. the warmth of the sun on your back so much (too much) like the deceptively fearless ambition burning in your chest moments before your stomach drops out from under you and you plummet towards the cold, dark ocean depths.
Which chicken is which?
Tallgeese is my standard Brahma! she’s the biggest, the gentlest, and by far the stupidest. the other chickens treat her as head honcho not for any particular virtue, but purely because of her enormous girth.
she’s a show-type Brahma, which means her appearance is exaggerated and striking - the downside of this is that her stern ‘Brahma brow’ is overgrown and blocking her vision more and more as time passes. it gives her bad depth perception, meaning she has trouble eating and drinking. the traits that make a breed look distinctive aren’t always the best for their quality of life!
Anzu is my standard Cochin, who I bought alongside Tallgeese. she’s a puffball with feathered feet, and is also quite gentle (as far as chickens go). she’s got a bad habit of standing outside in storms while loudly complaining about getting wet, meaning I frequently have to run out into whatever snow/hail/rain downpour is occurring and carry her to the coop.
Wormbecca is my Americauna, and is the latest addition! I learned my lesson the hard way with my initial birds, and made sure to thoroughly vet this breeder before buying to ensure she was fully vaccinated and pathogen-free. Wormbecca is perpetually nervous, and sticks to Tallgeese like glue. she went from treating me as her biological mother to firmly believing all humans are serial killers as she aged (not through any bad experience, it was a weird hormonal fear period!), though a winter of hand-feeding her warm corn and rice seems to have softened her up.
Yennefer, my Orpington/Copper Marans cross, was one of my original trio, but she sadly passed last summer. I unfortunately did not recognize signs of a disease when buying my original birds, and though I’d gotten the others back to a healthy state, Yennefer always stayed weak and relapsed in the summer heat.
there's chickens w the fancy shiny feathers like pidgeaons????
