A very tiny, but very welcome find in my garden. 30 years ago the garden used to be full of grasshoppers chirping away to themselves, now it's a rarity to find one and worthy of photographing the occasion.

Fledgling Blackbird August 2023

A short video of a very welcome - if a little late in the season - addition to my garden.  One parent was in attendance but the adult blackbirds don’t worry about me wandering about so didn’t take much notice of me stealth-filming their offspring!

A colourful Evil Eye ring set with multicoloured cubic zirconia crystals. The ring is 'gold filled' which is different from vermeil and gold plating, it is a much thicker layer of real gold over the base metal.

The Evil Eye or Turkish Nazar charm is an eye shaped amulet that is used in folklore to protect against the evil eye, jealousy, envy, bad intent from others and so on. This ring is more subtle in design than many others and is easy to wear.

It’s true, but we also need to keep in sight the reason for the UK public being in such poverty right now, with things only set to worsen.  The UK Government absolutely love the Coronation of the King as the public have been conditioned by the media to point the finger at the King for a while instead of putting the blame for their woes at the feet of the Conservative Party.  That’s the whole picture, the Coronation is a part of it and rubbing our noses in it.  It’s a symptom but the cause lies elsewhere.
