"its about the journey not the destination"
Me, fighting for a diagnosis: man but this journey fucking sucks
Heaven forbid I have a bad pain day in front of someone. Heaven forbid I don't want to see something new when I'm overwhelmed. Heaven forbid I try to be honest and have a difficult conversation with a friend.
I have yet to see a single article, study, opinion, or material benefit to back up unmasking. My respirator keeps me safer and healthier. That's just anecdotal evidence, sure, but it's backed up by thousands of studies, articles, public health guidances, and industrial standards addressing clean air, disease mitigation, allergies, hidden carcinogens like lead paint or forgotten asbestos, and more. It keeps me and my friends, family, and loved ones safer too.
You ever get the urge to just block half your friends and start over?
still living with my parents as an adult is just like. i'm grateful to not have to pay for groceries. i have to get out of here. i'm grateful to have a roof over my head and not have to pay rent. i have to get out of here. i'm grateful to not have to worry about sending out endless job applications that all lead to nowhere. i have to get out of here. i'm grateful i'm grateful i'm so fucking grateful. i have to get out of here
By the gods why is it that when I am at my worst everyone and their mother desperately needs my help? My body feels like it's been stuffed full of splinters and you want to talk to me just to vent about how horrible life is? Fuckin hell
I never really liked the nickname baby in a romantic context. But recently I got called baby by someone I'm romantically interested in, in a very intimate moment and that changed something in my brain chemistry.
Im an idiot I'm an idiot omg I'm such an idiot did I really accidentally give myself an allergic reaction through my vagina!?!
Update did an allergy test and I am certified not even allergic to the thing I reacted to. My body just decided to throw a bitch fit. Again.
"I think I'm falling for him" I say from an impact crater
If you're an American with a disability who receives government assistance, you likely qualify for an ABLE account, or you may starting next
The age of eligibility for an ABLE account, allowing USAmerican disabled people to save up money without losing their government assistance for having “too much,” is going to go up to cover disabilities diagnosed by age 46 (currently it’s age 26), meaning a much larger number of people will be able to access them. As the article notes, many Americans don’t know these accounts exist, let alone whether they or someone they care for could qualify for one, so please share this information around.
It seems to me it would obviously be better if the “no more than $2000 a month” limit were simply removed and disabled people could have whatever savings accounts they chose, but this is heaps better than nothing.
Effective as of January 1, 2026, eligibility has expanded to folks whose disabled diagnosis was established prior to turning 46 years old

I wish there was a painkiller except for brain fog. Like when your head is full of gunk you could just take a pill with a glass of water and lie down for 15 minutes and your head would be cleared just like that.
Im nervous, I've been actually functional for the past month... When's the depression gonna hit again?
You're not actually a better friend for not articulating and respecting your own needs, limits and boundaries. Your lack of communication and boundaries is not some impressive sacrifice. You're not doing anyone any favors by acting like you're okay with things you aren't okay with. You're just building burnout and resentment that will eventually damage the relationship in question. And when you eventually snap and walk away because you silently overburdened yourself to be a "good friend", it won't be the other persons fault
