sometimes I wonder if I’ve really loved anyone before. surely I have, I just can’t recall it. my heart feels hollow, while the rest of my body feels the numbness you feel that first second you jump into a freezing body of water.

I hope, someday, I will learn to love.

i can admit that I didn’t want you two together, but that was never to benefit me. he was nasty to you, made you feel worthless whenever you argued.

out of all the guys, you hurt me the most. you gained my trust by being my friend, you wanted to look after me, you told me I was beautiful. and for a while I believed it.

I’m sorry I didn’t love you back, but I cant love anything right now. I understand why you left, but why were you not honest, why did you just have to leave me in the dark.

i didn’t know what I wanted, and you were just someone to pass the time. i know that’s not fair, but how can you blame me for having a guard up; you stopped speaking to me, you stopped walking me home. But that saddest part was that the whole time you told me you wanted me, you had some other girl. Unfortunately, she told you what you wanted me to say. And that left us to become strangers once again.

you told me I was heavy, so I stopped eating. you told me I wasn’t pretty, so I put more makeup on. you told me I wasn‘t funny, so I stopped talking. I see now that you wanted me, because you wanted someone you could mould into your ideal girl. but that was never me, and that’s why you could never love me.

I’ve always been the type of girl to fall in love with a book the moment I open that first page. maybe one day I will be able to fall in love with someone when I hear their first words to me.

I don’t believe in love at first sight, but I believe in immediate infatuation.

so, until I meet you I will be reading my books with my empty heart waiting to love

I used to think I loved you. In actuality I loved the attention you gave me, you cared for me more then I cared for myself; which wasn’t much at all. I left you because I knew it was wrong, but you didn’t let me go without putting me down.

I hope some day I will be able to love and be loved in return.
