It's been a while since I last posted here. x.x I've been studying for an exam I have this week, so I haven't had much time to draw. :( But I wanted to share this WIP of Elliott from Stardew Valley!
I'm also planning to open commissions for the first time after my exam! I don't know what to charge yet, but I'm really excited about it. ^_^
I wasn't going to post this one because I'm not a huge fan of it. It is *something*, however, and I need to be proud that I created anything at all. ^^

Schedule:
July 27th - August 3rd - Sign-up open. There will be a separate form for pinch hitters who don't wish to take part in the full exchange.
August 10th - August 16th - Assignments will be sent out. Please reach out if you don't have the assignment by the 17th. The assignments will be sent via email. Please make sure the email you put in the form is an email you have access to.
September 1st - September 7th - first check-in
October 1st - October 7th - second check-in
October 19th - October 26th - posting period

Rules:
Minimum requirements are as follows: one thousand (1,000) words for fanfiction or one complete sketch for fanart. All participants are required to write one fanfiction OR create one fanart (the choice of medium is up to the participant). Multichapter fanfiction is allowed, but the work must be marked as complete while posting.
You must post your gift to Tumblr and/or AO3. Make sure the recipient of your gift is properly tagged (and in case of posting your gift on AO3, use the 'Gift this work to' option). It's not required to post your gift on both platforms, but please provide a link to your account for at least one.
Follow your giftee's requests and respect their DNW list.
We love everyone's OCs and modded characters, but for the sake of simplicity this exchange only allows vanilla game characters.
"Ship" is used as an umbrella term, it includes platonic relationships too. You can request and write platonic relationships as well as romantic ones.
If you need an extension or want to drop out, you must notify the host before the posting week if possible.

FAQ:
What’s a pinch hitter? - Per the AO3 Glossary: "On Archive of Our Own (AO3), it's used to refer to people who are assigned to produce a fanwork for a challenge when the person originally assigned doesn't complete that fanwork and is unable to continue participating." Pinch hitters are people who step in when someone isn't able to post their gift.
When would participants be notified if they are needed as pinch hitter? - We can't answer this definitively, unfortunately. We want to notify the pinch hitters as soon as possible in case they're needed, but that largely depends on when we hear from the participants.
Will we be able to give preferences? - Yes, the sign-up form has both a "do not want" section and a section for tropes and themes you want included in your work.
Is it okay that I have never posted something before? - Yes, anyone can participate as long as they post their gift :)
Can I do both art and a fanfic? - Only one of these is required, but if you wish, you can do both.
We are organizing a Stardew Valley fic/art exchange in fall. More details and specific dates will come soon :) We are planning for posting sometime in October with sign-ups opening in late July/early August. The form includes more info on minimal requirements, pinch hitters and section for feedback and questions.
