We could never be disappointed with what you decide to create, we're incredibly happy with even a small hint at an ego. We come up with the theories and stories because of you and the characters you've created, so really you're the one we should be thanking.

Now you don't have to stress yourself out to give us good ego content, your health and wellbeing comes first before anything. Take all the time you need to come up with what you truly want to do, we can wait.

massacre at pride parade in poland

this is a signal boost. please share it, for the love of god, media doesn’t cover this enough yesterday my city held its first pride parade. we were warned by the far right that they won’t allow it to happen, we knew it was going to be bad, but not this bad. nationalists from all across the country took trains here and occupied the area where parade was supposed to start, waiting to begin a massacre. the first people to have appeared at the spot were brutally beaten, there are 4 officially unconfirmed (clarification: this might be fake news, nobody knows anything) deaths of teenagers. they were attacking children they pledged to protect from “gay pedophiles”. i saw them covered in blood. i saw them crying. i saw them running, hiding in nearby shops, chased through the streets by organised groups of nazis that kept screaming: WE’LL KILL ALL FAGGOTS. 50 grown men against a single kid. 10 different men against a 14-year-old girl. she was thrown on the ground, kicked, and beaten, because she had a rainbow on her shirt. the parade was disrupted, but continued to march on. the amount of rocks, bricks, glass beer bottles, bottles with piss, rotten eggs, explosives that were thrown at us, is uncountable. my throat is sore from screaming RUN RUN RUN each time some landed nearby. then they exploded. have you ever experienced the ringing in your ears, so frequently shown in war movies after a grenade detonates nearby? i did, yesterday.  people have burns, traumatic brain injuries, broken bones, broken noses, not to mention bruises and cuts. i saw so much blood that day. we were choking because of smoke and pepper spray that police used against those who attacked them. them, not us. people who threw rocks/glass/bricks/explosives/eggs, slicing our temples, cracking our skulls, breaking our bones, are facing no consequences, unless they’ve attacked the policemen. 25 had charges pressed against them. 25 out of thousands who gathered with the sole purpose of attacking us. they outnumbered and surrounded us. they chased people after the parade ended, screaming death threats. screaming that they will find us through the photos, and kill us.  do you know what our right-wing media does? they’re claiming we, the peaceful parade whose numerous members are currently hospitalized with terrible injuries, were the ones who threw rocks/glass/bricks/explosives/eggs at “good christians who were protecting traditional values”. do you know what our church does? it’s thanking those who attacked us. the church approves violence. and so does the government. welcome to poland. run.

The police arrested 20 people. I wonder how fast they will be released.

The saddest thing is that the government silently approves of anti lgbt actions and decisions. Some of the politicians loudly agree with homophobia and call us pedophiles and perverts and sick people. Some claim they disagree but in truth they do want the law to be against lgbt community.

The church is no better. As stated above they do approve the hate and cheer for the attackers.

A mayor in one city gave awards to people fighting lgbt, because they fight paedophilia.

Despite the arrests I don’t believe the police and prosecutors will do anything. They will claim what those haters did wasn’t putting anyone in harm’s way and let them go.

People who were beaten won’t have any security and their claims will also go unanswered.

Homophobes loudly say Auschwitz should be re-opened because Germans showed how to deal with “degenerates”.

As much as I wasn’t afraid of being a lesbian, right now I’m starting to be. I was insulted and threatened but I’m scared someone will decide that is insults won’t work maybe fists will.

It was getting better but with the government’s approval it’s slowly but visibly getting worse.

So shout out as much as you can because the more people are talking and supporting us, the more power we have to change things for better.

Conservatism and Catholic Church are very strong in the east of Poland, wchich is where Białystok lies. Our government have been using LGBT+ people as an enemy to fight with, (For The Future of Our Kids and that kind of bullshit) lately.

Why?

To mobilize their electorate.

Same goes for everything else they do, such as the reform of education system (done so badly, ruining kids’ lifes because of two grades going to consecutive school same year).

They’re literally lying - public television, the only media for lots of people (mostly from the east) is FULL OF PROPAGANDA AND FAKE INFORMATION.

Everything for staying at the saddle.

Sure it’s great to be perceived as a pedohile by people who believe them.

Ego Appreciation Weeks

Hiyo!

So I’ve seen some people talk about a lack of art and nothing but memes in the tag lately so I thought we could do something fun to change that. I think a big reason why there’s less art is because there’s not a lot to draw inspiration from lately since Summer is the lull season for gaming, so let’s create our own inspiration!

You guys have done this sort of thing before with the egos where you pick a different one to draw each week but it sort of fizzled out a little after a couple of weeks. I loved that idea though and it was amazing seeing all the characters in everyone’s art styles. I genuinely love art work so let’s do a more “official” sort of one and rotate a different ego each week from now.

I can’t promise that it will turn into anything more than just a fun cool thing to do and look at for the community but if I think of something more to it then I’ll let you know :D 

I want to be able to filter through them though without conflicting with other hashtags from before like septicart and lumping non related stuff into it, so let’s tag them with #egoartweek
