VR video recording of the environment.
The brief required to create an environment based on a characater chosen as a group, as well as being able to pick up objects.
VR GROUP PROJECT: ASSET MAKING
Our group: Philip, Rita, Alex, Marcel, Myself
This has been a challenging project in terms of technicality. As a group I believe we worked very well together to bring something that is detailed and goes beyond expectations.
Alex modelled the upper body of the character as well as putting the pieces together to get it ready for printing
Rita modelled the environment, including every leaf on the ground and the bunny
I modelled the lower half of the body.
3D MODELLING CHALLENGE (VITA, ALEX, RITA)
The Artist Garden project was meant to be a fun project. Instead it was extremely stressful and demotivated the shit out of me, working after hours, with group members that unfortunately were not keeping up communication or meeting deadlines.
Here a version made in two days by myself, with assets made by me or downloaded, to at least be able to say I submitted something.
If this project should exist in the future, I hope all the students are held accountable and strive for higher standards, as it is not fair for the few to carry the workload of the many.
Here the video of the environment with a character run
Natasha sent me the geometric path and the house textured in the format required.
Ahmet sent the tree and the rocks, however the rocks could not be added because the polys were too high. The lower poly version were sent after I compiled the file. Is a shame they were not textured
Mantas sent a flattened cube as a canvas, was not UVed and I didn’t have the alpha painting required. So I proceeded to make it myself
Ade sent something that looked like a statue to add in the environment, but it was exported from zbrush. It was not Retopologised and UVed so could not add in the scene.
ARTIST GARDEN GROUP PROJECT (OTOBONG NKANGA)
This was a week long project. My group included the following members with assigned roles based on what skills we can bring into this project after a call consultation.
Ahmed: Rock and tree asset modelling to add in the scene
Natasha: House and path assets modelling to add in the scene
Myself: Unity terrain environment, with personalised and tiled terrain as well as downloaded terrain assets
After 2 days the brief was delivered I finally received communication from the remaining members and the following roles were assigned
Mantas: Canvas painting
Ade: Asset modelling to add in the scene.
It wasn’t easy to work on this but glad how it turned out.
Working with silhouettes to understand body movements and exagerate if necessary
Stepped tangent work. Quick Playblast
Front key poses with stepped tangents
Key Poses for the Animation lip sync.
