Description: After a year in which she made nothing but mistakes, she goes back to Torono Town with the intentions to recover everything she lost. But will she be able to reconstruct the bond with her brother? Will she be able to overcome the trauma Kyoto left her with?

A/N: I usually do reader insert scenarios, but this was an idea that I got months before I even started this blog. An OC is something I hadn’t done before since I know how unpopular those stories are but I’m giving it a chance. I decided to start posting it here since sometimes I can’t work on the requests because I’m working in this story. I hope all of you enjoy it.

Ana is the only child of Lin Beifong and the oldest of Tenzin’s children. After Korra arrives in Republic City, Ana agrees to help her father teach the Avatar airbending. A few days after Korra’s arrival Ana went after her when she snuck off to the pro-bending arena where she meets Bolin, the earthbender for the fire ferrets. She’s instantly smitten but he doesn’t seem to notice. Or so she thinks.

passing the entrance exam was only the first challenge in a long line, it seems, as sanae is introduced to interesting classmates and an even more interesting teacher, but she does meet toru hagakure and mashirao ojiro, who become her first friends at her new school. now she only has to avoid expulsion on her first day of school, not destroy her battle trial location (too much), and settle in to a new and rigorous routine. oh, yeah, and don’t forget the villains warping themselves into the middle of their hero training class.

oc fashion boards: Nori Uchiyama (insp)
key components:
pastels: Nori has always been drawn to light colors. In particular, pastels often represent neutrality which mixes well with her often peaceful and soft demeanor. The softness of the colors she chooses is purposeful. The muted color scheme allows her to fade into the background and avoid beging the center of attention. Although her closet has a wide array of colors, she has always been drawn to greens (probably because they go so well with Takuma’s eyes).
mary-jane heels: These shoes are a symbol of ‘girlhood’ which makes sense given Nori’s feminine and soft personality. They add to her already youthful aura. However, symbolism aside, some black mary-janes go well with almost any outfit. In fact, she wears an assortment of pairs with almost every casual outfit. She is noticeably seen without them when Takuma’s grandfather comes to visit, instead opting for high-heels. This may have been an unconscious choice to appear more ‘mature’ in front of the man who is constantly scrutinizing her every move.
lace: This material is delicate and transparent, much like Nori herself. It can be seen in almost every part of her wardrobe from her socks, to her dresses, to her gloves. Lace is often used to symbolize purity and innocence (much like the color of the lace itself: white). It is easily torn but not easily mended. It’s beautiful despite the fact that’s it incomplete, just like Nori.
gloves: These accessories are a stand-out part of her wardrobe. She wears them with both casual outfits and formal attire. They have and old-fashioned vibe that matches Nori’s old-soul. She started wearing them when she was young. Ever since she was little, she’s been an overly-nervous girl. She would often bite her fingernails, sometimes until they bled. To help get rid of this habit her mother had her start wearing gloves, especially to events that would cause her any anxiety. Now they’re a big part of her sense of fashion. And they keep with the theme of delicacy that runs throughout her closet.
pea-coats: Something about pea-coats has always caught Nori’s eye. It may be that long length helps her to hide herself from the world. It may be that the snug fit of them make her feel content, safe. It may be that she can fiddle with the buttons when she feels nervous. No matter the reason, these coats are a cornerstone of her closet.

sanae toga ; beginnings saga, part two: ua sports festival.
with the entire country’s eyes watching the u.a. sports festival, particularly the first years who battled at the usj, the pressure is on to do well. sanae is aware of her parents’ judgemental gazes back home, plus she wants to make her younger brother proud of her (and her older sister, wherever she is). she is determined to stand out, but so is everyone else.

Character intro: Euphemia ‘Effie’ Blackwoode
Most little girls dream of nobility. They fantasizes about the gowns, the galas, the fancy meals, the jewels, the men. It’s every little girls dream to be a princess. But Effie doesn’t want any of that.
She would much rather spend her days with her nose in a book or running through the streets without a care. It seemed like each day held new wonders for the common people. Much more exhilarating than her structured life where every decision was made for her.
So when her family gets a visit from the scouts and she strikes up a conversation with a certain eye-catching scientist she begins to hatch a plan. With their help maybe just maybe she could break free of the diamond chains that are holding her back.
