It's been a while since I bombarded you all with a swarm of beetle photos. So here are some beetles I've stitched, including some little peeks under 'the hood'. :D

I sewed this bag recently to use as a daily bag. It’s based on this pattern from mood fabrics. The outside fabric is heavy vintage linen I thrifted and the lining is lightweight twill cotton from a local fabric store.
I quilted the outside and I might make a foam base insert for when I want even more shape. Tons of things fit inside, so it can work as a quick grocery bag. The original pattern didn’t have any inside pockets, I added a zipper pocket on one side and elastic pockets on the other side. On the outside is another third pocket which is also decorative.

Another natural dye fail. Top left is the original shirt and bottom right is what it looks like now.
I really wanted a pinkish color to work this time, I collected avocado pits and skins. I found a few blogs with instructions. The shirt had to be dipped and dried a few times in soy milk and left for some days before dyeing. The color I got from avocados looked the same as the color of liquid I saw online, so I had hope.
After dyeing it the color was a bit more rich, however it was a totally wrong shade and had patches, so I decided to wash it out immediately. This is it after a few washes.
I think I’m giving up my natural dye attempts for a while now. I have several old clothes I wanted to revive to be in pink shades and I’ll need to buy some dye it seems. I have been finally defeated by a diy.
There are two options for this pattern design. Main design uses black floss with different strand count and stitching direction to imitate l
I made a pattern inspired by my dog. He’s very sweet and cuddly, his small monster moments are when we’re playing or he’s tired. So I thought it would be fun to make sort of a beware sign where he is vicious.
This is him getting annoyed that I’m not getting the ball stuck under the bed.
I was looking at antique design elements in scanned books, and I really liked the borders they had. The border here is a very simplified version of some that I saw in the book "Old English and French ornaments; comprising 244 Designs ... by Chippendale, I. Jones, Johnson, Lock, and Pether ... Collected and republished by J. W”.
There are two versions of the design, one with regular cross stitching and this one where I experimented to make it appear more like the engraved illustrations from old books. I added tips and clarifying instructions so that the chart isn’t confusing.
Proof of him being a perfect cutie.
Finished the most of it. Now I’ll be adding little details, text and beads. I found these red beads which are a match to dmc 321 I’m using, and some metallic gray ones which I may add for more texture.
I’m working on this new pattern based on my dog, it’s gonna be my way of poking fun at his silly behavior 🖤

My friend is wildly talented and makes these imitation fossils of mythic creatures. I love them so much.
Happy year of the horse!!!! Have my wild horses sweater finally released from the void!
I made these ornaments from a free pfd by Grace Pool TikTok @M1ch00l
I printed them on sparkly cardstock and I love how they turned out.
I made my dog his first winter outfit. He is fluffy but he gets cold and so far doesn’t seem to like the colder days.
I used this pattern by Lily Longnose to make it.
The fabric I used is some wool blend I found in the two colors I wanted. I hand sewed the smaller stars on and used my machine for the bigger ones.

I made this based on Astarion from my first playthrough, I just have to find a frame for it.
