the inventor waved her hand dismissively, digging into one of the many notepads she kept stored nearby in an unkempt desk. it wasn’t like tokoyami was trying to get on her nerves or anything, but to judge her precious babies without seeing them at work like she has, she couldn’t help but feel the need to defend them! page ninety-four, page ninety-five… page ninety-six. there we go!
‘ after a series of ten tests, with varying types of wall material and thickness, the only instance i’ve ever had of blowback is when the wall’s foundation was too weak to actually hold onto it, and it flew back and hit me on the gut. other than that, though, it functioned perfectly! ‘ with a loud clap, she closed her notepad and grinned at the hero student. ‘ it’s not like i haven’t though about offensive uses, though! it’s actually been something i’ve been drafting for a while, too. something that involves the eventual cooperation of that one loud boy in your class. ‘
the smile on her face makes it seem rather obvious that she hasn’t taken into account how hard getting that cooperation will be. guess that’s something for her to figure out in the future.
Tokoyami listens attentively as she lists off her research, nodding occasionally. This girl is really impressive! Makes a ton of items, keeps and remembers her documentation.. “You’ve more than earned your reputation as a genius inventor.” That’s definitely worth respect. “And the bomb is apparently nicely controlled, too. That’s really cool, I shouldn’t have doubted. Hit you in the gut, though? And here I thought the heroes were the main ones who got themselves beat up in the line of education.” Ha, ha. The dangers of working in the country’s most hazardous occupation.
Loud boy..? There’s a few of those, but there’s only one who’s so loud that it’s noteworthy. And in that case, she would have better luck trying to get cooperation out of one of her exploded brick walls. “Cooperation with Bakugou? …Good luck. He doesn’t even work with us.”
Most of the time, anyways. He’s getting a little bit better, though he still tends to come off as very happy to throw a classmate under the bus for him to allow him to take charge, if the opportunity so arose. It makes Bakugou difficult to work with in any hero operation, which is the extent of Tokoyami’s knowledge of him. “But maybe he’ll be nice if there’s something in it for him. Has he come in? I feel most of our class has seen either you or Power Loader.”
