Tumblr Adult Content Ban
So I'm not comfortable at all with the way Tumblr is approaching the issue of adult content. I agree that there are certain things that shouldn't be given a platform (child porn, revenge porn, adult content which is stolen from creators & reposted) but banning all 'adult content', and using bots to detect it, is not the answer. First of all the definition being used is flawed and discriminatory (seriously, how are 'female presenting nipples' somehow different from all other nipples, what a load of sexist garbage). Second, the system for identifying adult content is broken as fuck - a number of my posts have already been incorrectly flagged & I know of other people whose entire blogs have basically been deemed 'adult' for no discernible reason. The system is a clusterfuck, its going to gut the site & I'm not entirely sure I want to keep contributing to a site with such a misguided ideology.
