Shopping, Friendship and Future (A Valiant Souls Short Story)
If there is one thing that Apep certainly loves, it’s definitely fashion clothes from the human world. Since the day he reborns himself into a human body and meets Claire, he appreciates to spend time in market just to try and test new clothes. On the other hand, Claire isn’t that passionate. However, she likes passing time with Apep. Surprisly, even if they are really different, they get along pretty well. A serious fusion woman and an original demon god in clothes market, what a funny picture. Apep doesn’t hesitate to test so many different combinations of fashion clothes in front of Claire, he even tries to charm her. Sometimes, it works and she blushes a bit. She can’t deny Apep is a handsome demon god. Tho It’s just a game between friends. They are not interested about the other when it comes to special feelings. No, they are good pals, good friends. Apep brought some light in Claire’s life, even if he is very…non ordinary. They already spent lots of years, an uncanny duo. No doubt about it. Nevertheless, Claire doesn’t always understand Apep’s true intentions despite their friendship. And today, she is not really amused by what Apep is doing. Something is bothering her.
- So Claire, look at this! Don’t I look like very fabulous with this suit? ~(Apep)
She isn’t looking at him but she still answers.
- Oh yes, you look beautiful as always. (Claire)
- Come on, you didn’t even look at me. I can see you are not amused. You better tell me what is wrong or we will spend two hours more here. (Apep)
She sighs and she turns her head to talk to Apep.
- What’s your true intentions? I know you are a demon god so why do you bother helping me? I thought demons just use humans as food or toys. (Claire)
Apep definitely has a dark and serious after what Claire just said. He isn’t mad or offended, just sighing.
- At first, it was curiosity. (Apep)
- Curiosity? What is it supposed to mean? (Claire)
- You and Fona are…anomalies and so interesting. I have been following your story since a while now. You are not the first fusion person to exist through human’s hystory. However, you are the first that keeps as much as possible your integrity, trying to do the best with demon powers. (Apep)
Even he doesn’t admit it. He respects Claire for the person she is and he cares about her. Indeed, he was not that interested in the beginning about humans aside from a few things like clothes. Though, he is impressed by Claire’s actions and what she is capable of.
- Not really, I am also tired of our queen. You know I don’t like her. I have seen the potential of humanity through you and other people. And I want to see more of it. I am tired of Dewana’s decisions and actions. I am maybe a god above all the creatures but that doesn’t mean I am heartless. After so many millenias, I just want to have fun but not by killing. The human world, your world, has so much to offer. I want to enjoy that life here but I don’t want to see what is enjoyable being destroyed by Dewana. Does it satisfy you? (Apep)
Claire is finally smiling and she nods.
- That’s fair enough Apep. (Claire)
- Now that you are smiling, it’s your turn to test fashion clothes! I want to see the beauty of a human lady in every forms like dress and beautiful clothes~. (Apep)
Claire blushes and stands up.
- Fine! I will show you that you can’t win against me! (Claire)
That spends the rest of day testing clothes and trying to know who is the most fabulous one. That’s definitely an original but cool friendship.
So after I saw yesterday the picture of Claire and Apep in 1972, I wanted to write a little fun but serious story about their relationship as pals. I hope you will like it, really enjoyed writing it to be honest :’D (of course it’s not canon XD)
