thank you disco elysium for the best idle animation ive ever seen
As excited as I am for the upcoming Barbie movie, I have one major concern...that the new Barbie movie will not reference ANY of the previous animated Barbie movies/not consider them as canon. And I'll be royally pissed off they barely mention the cinematic masterpiece that is Barbie: the Princess and the Pauper!
Those movies walked so that Barbie 2023 could fucking roller skate. Like could you imagine if we see Margot Robbie dress as Mariposa or Annelise on a film set making the animated movies canon.
i really need more television to exist in the same refrain as derry girls where it's not trying to tell some profound and heavily plotted out overarching story... rather its happy to just live in the brief moments of these character's lives and the comedy and tragedy that is part of their every day existence. i love 'we're not going anywhere in particular but you're damn sure going to enjoy the journey' type storytelling.
Stray didn’t have to be a visual masterpiece with really well written philosophical commentary on humanity and our own destruction and obsession with class division it could have just been a cute cat game but they did that 10/10
sobbing over the humanity of the robots in Stray. they listen to music. they play dungeons & dragons. they have barber shops and bars and play the guitar and write poetry. they get heart eyes when a cat purrs against their legs. there are robot children! robot grandparents! they like comfy pillows and candles and warm blankets and they grow plants in a city that has never seen sunlight! they’re human and they’re not and there’s no humans left and they’re alive. ahhhhhhh
