Every morning like clockwork, I pop a waffle in the toaster and turn around to grab my coffee. But today… something felt off.

I looked back—and there he was.

Caught red-pawed.

Face deep in my breakfast like he paid for it. 🧇🐱

This isn’t the first time either. Last week, it was a donut. Before that? A full slice of pizza. I swear he’s got better taste than most food critics.

But you know what? I couldn’t even be mad. He came into my life when I was going through a rough patch. I rescued him, but somehow… he’s the one who saved me.

Now, every bite he steals is just another reminder that love (and laughter) lives here—even if it costs me my breakfast. 😅

This is why she's single.

She is saving herself for someone who has genuine intentions with her from the very first conversation.

She does crave love and affection, but she is at the point in her life where she isn't going to let temporary people touch her mind, body or soul.

She is done having shallow conversations with people who didn't deserve her precious time in the first place.

Throughout the years, she has experienced trauma that has taken an unfortunate toll on her mental health, and she will never settle for someone who will make her question her own selfworth ever again.

She knows how valuable her life is, and she isn't afraid to continue on this journey alone because she is done with false fronts from people with hidden agendas.

She's the true definition of an anomaly in this generation, and her elegant heart has more love to give than the number of synapses in the human brain, and let's not forget her soul....

Let people misinterpret you.

Let people create an image they want to believe about you.

Let people say anything they want to say.

Let them be.

Let them judge you.

Let them condemn you.

Let them do whatever they want by just holding a small piece of you, by just hearing a portion of your story, and by just seeing you mess up.

Let them be.

Anyway, you don't have to prove yourself. You don't have to please them and beg for their attention. You don't have to tell them everything and make your story known to everyone to be understood and accepted. Because even if you did, they would not, especially when their mind is fixed on what they believe about you.

When they are only waiting for your actions to support their claims. So instead of working to win people's hearts, work on building yourself. Work on knowing yourself so deeply that people will be afraid of getting in and being buried alive. Learn from your mistakes, embrace positive changes, and be there for yourself when no one else is.

That's how most people survived.

Notice how deep and good our sleep is in our parent's house, especially when they're around?

Because that's the only time we can rest without thinking about our safety, the food we will eat when we wake up, or any burden we will face while we're with them.

Thank God for our parents and the warmth and security we feel because of their presence.

When I was younger, I always wondered how some people can go in movie theatres alone. I always thought that it has to be the loneliest thing in the world to do, then eating alone at a restaurant is second.

But I see it now.

I see it clearly now that life is not always about cuddles and holding hands. That it's not always about the movie dates and the travel goals because most of the time, it's about you finding peace in the simple things that you do. I eventually learned that life can get so busy that there will be days when you just want to shut everyone out and be with no one but yourself even for just a little while.

I don't know, maybe I'm getting old and becoming less fun of a person to be with. But if this is what peace feels like, hey—I'll take it.

I don't dream about having the perfect life!

I just think about waking up somewhere safe.

I think about having a pretty kitchen, cozy space, and a nice balcony. Books on shelves. Some flowers and plants. The smell of baking and coffee is always around. Warm movie nights and beautiful music playing in the background..

I could be happy with something peaceful, simple and quiet.
