Log Cabin is 36 assets large, so it's just between a kit and a stuff pack when it comes to size. Coincidentally it also comes with some "new" objects, like, windows that open and close. When I say functional I really mean it with this one.
Merged [download] only this time!
The on-off tuning is shared by several objects and they NEED to stay together.

A wee bit early but hey, a b-day gift to myself. One more year almost over. Yippee.
It comes in 10 wood tones, one version with beech bark that matches the swatch. The other is birch bark. Animal crossing players may see the resemblance to the log series from ACNH.
Everything in these previews is included in the set, or basegame. You can absolutely re-create these rooms if you'd want to. The set focuses on the woodworking hobby and aims to give your lumberjack or lumberjane a fitting home.
Enjoy a warm summer breeze in your garden or patio with a refreshing home made lemonade. Those 11 new meshes are made for those special summer nights and give that classy, upscale touch to any outdoor space.
You can find the objects in game by searching for the sets name as usual. Everything is base game compatible. Get the set now free on early access here. Check out more cc at my Patreon
Mostly for @cozypyxels but I figured it might be useful for others who want to find some good brushes but don’t know where to look or start. This way, it’s all in one place! All Brushes linked are free. You do not have to download every set. Ps, most of these are only for Photoshop, I’m sorry.
After releasing my first collection of UI-ish templates and widgets, I found myself making more during the process of editing my posts. I'd planned on keeping this one around the same size as the previous one, but the longer it took me to properly label and organize my layers, the more I added to the file. So now we're here at like 40-ish templates (and a few even have a hidden version).
[CLICK FOR BIGGER!]
Like my previous collection, I designed this to be a "workspace" or "canvas" from which you can just pull whatever template you need. Each template is labeled and organized into folders so you'll know exactly which layers you need for your screenshot.
Tips on how to use these can be found in the original post as well as this google doc tutorial .

Simmerianne93 kindly invited me to be part of this collaboration along with other talented simmers: Endless Summer!
I am very happy and very grateful to be able to participate in this dynamic. I got so excited that I created my own props and modified some in-game objects to get the poses I wanted. So please keep in mind that this is the first time I've done something like this and I tried to make sure there were no errors, but they can inevitably happen; however, I trust everything turned out well and I hope you like these family Backyard Camp poses.
You will find the props and objects as well as the posing guide inside the downloadable file..
Don't forget to visit the Tumblr and the networks of the members of the collaboration ❤️ Every day a new pose pack!

Using the EA face template as a guide, draw out the shape you wish to make into a detail.
For example, I’m creating a nose mask, so using a soft brush, I’ve drawn a shape matching EA’s nose. I’ve softly erased the bridge, and Gaussian blurred to create a less sharp base. This will ensure a better blend with other skins ! If you were making a lip mask, you’d draw out the lip shape. For cheek masks, I suggest using a mix of soft airbrush, and skin texture or noise brushes for the edges, to create a sort of skin texture finish.
Return to your skin layer. Unhide. Set your skin layer to CLIPPING MASK. Clipping masks are a super useful tool to learn! They’re available in Procreate and Photoshop.
Switch back to your base layer, and adjust if needed. You can draw more, to expand the area, or erase. It’s up to you! Wherever you set down color, the skin layer will show.
Once you’re satisfied with your skin detail, merge both layers.
To anyone who is thinking, “man I wish I could create cc”
Short answer: You can.
Long answer: It’s going to be an uphill battle of a learning process. For some people the hill will be like a mountain and for others it might be more of a bump. The process is still the same.
What I need people to understand when it comes to creating cc is that, your first mesh edit, it’s going to be Trash™. I know it, you know it, we all, Know it. See the thing is, if you go in to something like this with the mindset of “I need this done yesteryear and it needs to be PERFECT”, whew are you in for ride. It wont be. You can’t go in expecting it to be good, or even decent! No one is good at things the first time they try it. And if they say they are, they’re probably lying lmao.
My process was, my mija @moontrait helped me get in to simple mesh editing and when she wasn’t around to answer my questions, I would poke at blender and reading tutorials on my own. Let me tell you. It was Trash™. I don’t even have the first mesh edits I started anymore, I knew that they we’re ruined beyond repair. It would’ve been faster to redo the edits after I had learned more about blender.
I wrote above sometime in 2020. And now, 4 years later, my cc still isn’t perfect but its okay! I’m proud of many of the things Ive created. I just make things to have something to do and to share it all for free. And i have learned a lot and i want others to learn too! The best thing you can do is to make small simple edits. Not for use, but just to make Something. Literally just take a skirt or a top and chop it off. You don’t even have to finish the item, it doesn’t have to have lods or even swatches. Just by simply opening meshes in blender and poking at it and testing shortcuts and things, you’ll learn. That’s what i did. I have so many small tips and tricks, some i posted here. I by no means know everything, in fact, i know VERY little. There are things about blender i legitimately *i pretend i do not see it* because i’m scared of it lol. For questions about cc you can nicely ask over at @thefoxburyinstitute or check out this post about my cc help desk! I also made a poll about cc making that’s got a little less than 2 days left on it lol.
So yeah. You CAN learn to make that One Specific Thing you want in your game, but you need to learn the basics first. It will help you in the long run. Trust me. I’ve had some experience teaching people how to make simple edits throughout the years and it’s always difficult when they’re Set on a specific end result and won’t listen to my advice. Please listen to my advice lol.
Composition and Screenshot Tricks Edutainment Workshop 📸
This is a video I wanted to put together to show off some helpful easy compositional tips to keep in the back of your mind as you screenshot as well as show off some fun tricks and resources I’ve found over the years.
I use the uv mapped skin base, because eye shapes can easily get distorted! For eyeliners, it’s especially important to follow the mapping around the eyes. Using a soft airbrush, I quickly set down my first color. KEEP YOUR LAYERS SEPARATE.
Gaussian blur to your liking.
On a new layer, set down a darker crease base. I like to add a bit of the darker color under the waterline, as well. I forgot to show the next step, but it was just gaussian blur.
New layer. Add a lighter color to bring a bit of light to the lid.
Gaussian blur.
Soft erase the lighter color from the waterline, and a bit of the top. This is preference. You can erase or not erase whatever you’d like!
Add some brighter dots for a cute glittery / highlighted affect.
Lower the opacity.
Lower the opacity on all layers ( if desired ). I personally prefer soft shadows.
In photoshop, I adjust the colors. Because, we’ve kept everything on separate layers, it makes it easy to make colors suitable for different skintones.
Make as many swatches as you desire. That’s all there is to the texturing parts! Drawing eyeshadows are pretty easy, as long as you use the uv map as a guide. I recommend following procreate artists on Instagram, because they often video capture their drawing process. I’ve learned everything I know from watching others draw.
I’m not going to go in-depth about S4S, because it’s pretty much the same process for most CAS textures. I will suggest changing the composition method in the warehouse tab to 0 or 4 ( test out which blend you like best ). 0 will leave the texture AS SHOWN. 4 will blend it into the skin, and may cause the colors to change. 4 works best for textures that have odd pixelation ( caused by transparency ). My texture is quite transparent, so I’ve used Comp 4.
I’m minded not everyone may know about the batch export and import cheats in Sims 4 Studio. They make it a lot, lot easier to get your files in and out of the program (which is especially welcome when making walls and/or anything with a lot of swatches).
Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Open S4S and ready your package by creating your swatches (the easiest way to do this is to load a colour palette you’ve already prepared using Tools > Color Palette but you can do it manually if you need to)
Step 2: Once you have your swatches in place, press CTRL+SHIFT+C (the same command to open the cheats window in TS4) and type studio.exportall
S4S will create a folder in the same location as your package that has all the various texture files associated with your package in PNG format.
Go into that folder and delete everything that isn’t a main diffuse texture (all the files highlighted in the picture below are the ones you want to delete). You’ll be left with the same amount of identical diffuse textures as there are swatches in your package.
Step 3: Create your recolours/textures and save them with the file names of the corresponding diffuse textures/swatches you have in the folder S4S made. (You have to save them as PNG.)
Step 4: This is why it’s important to save the files in the same folder and with the names S4S created. Go back to S4S and in the cheats window (CTRL+SHIFT+C) type studio.importall and watch as it imports all of those nice new textures for you. It will likely throw an error at the end, but you can safely ignore it and close the error window (close it with the little red x in the top right corner).
(At first you won’t see any change. You have to click on a new swatch to see it’s imported them all.)
You’re done! You now have 48 (or a far more sensible number of) nice new textures and can save your package and check it in game.
This works for all objects and walls and floors. I haven’t tried it on cas objects because I don’t make them.
Sometimes when importing wall textures if you’ve been using S4S for a while its memory can get a little overloaded and it won’t import them all. If this happens you can either close the program and start again, which will clear the memory, or you can just keep typing the batch import cheat and eventually it will import them all. It just needs a little coaxing.
And for walls and floors S4S will automatically create the thumbnails for you. You still have to generate them yourself for all other objects by viewing them in game (or add your own in S4S).
This makes creating recolours in particular quick and easy. The most time consuming part is doing the recolouring itself. Gone are the days of individually importing hundreds of textures.
How to create visual "custom categories" with the new Sims 4 Studio Batch-Edit
As discovered by @vyxated Sims 4 Studio now supports batch-changing the Display Index number which allows you to easily sort your CC (see post here)
Using that, you can create visual "custom categories" for any existing category to sort your CC into smaller groups that share a thematic.
━━━━━━ ・❪ ☾ ❫ ・ ━━━━━━
Step 1: Creating folders
First you need to sort your CC into whatever categories you want.
I am sorting my earrings.
( I use Folder Painter to get colored folders)
━━━━━━ ・❪ ☾ ❫ ・ ━━━━━━
Step 2 (Optional): Creating dividers
I highly recommend you to make some sort of divider for your categories (basically like my TidyCAS).
For that, in S4Studio start out by cloning any basegame CAS item.
I usually always use the sunscreen facepaint, but it doesn't really matter, you shouldnt use smth with a mesh.
Or you can download this file and place it in Documents\Sims 4 Studio\Mods.
It has no texture, is enabled for a lot of things and disabled for random.
IMPORTANT: For every new divider you want to create, you have to clone the CAS item from S4Studio again. You cannot simply duplicate your divider CC and simply change it.
Save it as the number and name of your category. For me it would start with "00 Studs".
In that file, first import any type of custom thumbnail you want to use to display the category name.
Then, change the category to whatever category you are working on and enable it for all ages, genders, fashion choices & outfit types you want and disable it for random.
Now if you want, import an empty texture to get rid off the sunscreen, but since you won't apply that CC, it won't matter.
Download the empty texture here
Make sure to place the dividers OUTSIDE your sorted folders.
━━━━━━ ・❪ ☾ ❫ ・ ━━━━━━
Step 3: Batch processing in S4Studio
Now you want to batch process your folders in S4Studio.
First click on "My CC" and let it load.
Now right click your first folder and select "Batch Edit - Change CAS Display Index"
In the next window, press "Run".
Then, enter whatever number you want to start with.
The smaller the number, the higher up the content is. You can go into negatives and the limit is a veeeeeeeeeery high number.
If you just want to sort some normal CC, I recommend starting with 0 simply.
For the next folder I then always go up by 10, so 0-10-20-30-etc.
Then press "OK".
You will then get a popup with all your changed files (I sorted mine before so it's non lol)
Note: Keep in mind that it does not sort your CC alphabetically.
Apparently it's by last modified date.
━━━━━━ ・❪ ☾ ❫ ・ ━━━━━━
If you have done step 2:
Step 4: Sorting your dividers
Lastly you want to make sure that your dividers show up at the beginning of the custom categories.
Open up your divider in S4Studio again if you closed it.
Click on "Warehouse", select the "CAS Part" and on the right in the "Filter" field search for "display".
Under "DisplayIndex" you now want to input a number that's before your category.
My category starts at 0, so I will change it to -1.
If the category starts with 10, I input 9 and so on.
"SecondaryDisplayIndex" is swatch order, so it doesn't matter here.
i've been mentioning sorting cc a lot lately, and one thing i mentioned is that i started it all mainly because i hated how maxis items are always scattered among cc - it doesn't look good, and i keep forgetting some things exist
so one of the most important points for me was to figure out the biggest display index number maxis uses, and give all cc numbers bigger than that, so all maxis items would go first. for people who want to do the same but don't know how to figure out numbers, i'll post my numbers list to use.
i also recommend skipping display numbers between your folders (e.g. 300, 305, 310 or 300, 310, 320 etc instead of 300, 301, 302), so that in case you look in cas and don’t like where you put a batch of cc and want to move them later, you have a wiggle room and don’t have to reassign everything else.
warning: this list is just for human adults. i didn't check infants, toddlers, children and werewolves because i don't use cc for them.
these are maxis numbers, you need to use numbers bigger than these.
