This isn't art but i would like to talk about something, about para social relationships/behaviour fans have with authors/managakas
And my honest full opinion is just that it's toxic, going both ways. My best example as of now is seraphim of end, I have done my analysis on the manga and anime and i wanted to say that, mika and yuu don't really view each other as brother, but family in a supporting way, since you have to read the context they were in at the time, they grew up in an orphanage and they had no one else but each other, so they built this family connection for security and protection reasons, that doesn't mean they weren't close. Moving on, the creator intended for Mika and Yuu to be endgame all along ever since they published the 1st volume of the manga, but due to censorship in Japan back in the 2010's they had to work around how they're going to send the message across, this happened with a lot of queer media back in the 2000's-2010's keep in mind, they couldn't directly show queer couples up on screen, instead they heavily relied on subtexts and implying it through other things, which can lead to so many conclusions.
I have seen that some fans ship yuu and shinoa, which is a popular pairing in the fandom, but not very popularised since mika and yuu are to my knowledge canon as the manga stated them and some fans were disappointed to say the least. In my opinion, i don't think the ship would sail, why? Well through the analysis of the character shinoa, i would say, not even sugar coat it, Shinoa is obsessed with Yuu in an unhealthy way which draws her to the conclusion to confess two more times, even though yuu clearly stated he doesn't like her like that and saw her as family. she still tried to get her way by pushing boundaries and clearly breaking them after being friend zoned, which clearly shows she's obsessed with him in a unhealthy way even going on to say something along the lines of "I cannot live without you" which adds to my point that she's not letting go even after being rejected, even though i heavily disliked her being reduced to a character who's there to love Yuu, i think that part was written realistically as well. Keep in mind that this situations happens in real life, some people cannot handle rejection and that's ok, they can be upset that they were rejected, what's not ok is to obsesses and hyperfixate on that person thinking they'll change their mind when they clearly stated, even three times in a row that they don't like you romantically.
I also observed that the ship was made to spite mika and yuu and they've been asking when yuu and shinoa would be canon even though (if they TRULY watched the anime and read the manga know that Yuu rejects her multiple times) the creator intended them to be friends from the start and i think its immature to do this out of spite of a ship that has been thought out for years and fighting censorship.
I would also like to bring up the OVA scene where krul said to mika, word for word " You do know yuu is a homosexual?" which where homosexual was censored with "**********" due to censorship reasons, which led to the creator later proving that yes she indeed said homosexual after fans speculated she said it (if u count the stars and the word, they're both 10)
Conclusion? I think some fans seriously have para social relationship and behaviors with the creators if they think they're buddies buddies and abide to what their fans say and not go with what they want, especially, ESPECIALLY IN QUEER MEDIA.
