death and decay

 Death is eternal, the only place where our souls can be immortal. We know not for sure when that bright light may come yet nor what the afterlife will have in store for us.

  I yearn for death like a madman, it feels as if the croaked hand looms over my body every night I lay still, like a foreshadow of my twilight. I take joy in knowing i will die one day, its nothing suicidal or manic, but something natural, moving from this blind purgatory to a silence like no other, melancholic, airy. I will be gone from this earth trapped inferno one day, escaping this reality and entering another.  And maybe i did long for death in a way suicidal like, what is their to like about this unfair world really, a patriarchal oppressive hierarchy. 

  At Least in my afterlife perspective the world will finally be equal, no one in power, just the peaceful presence of our humanity, no matter our skin color, body type or blood type, but acknowledging our humanity.

  Every now and then I see him out of the corner of my eye, the stranger with the croaked hand and the cloak, he comes at night and haunts me of my future, reminding me my time will come to cross that damned river of life. Waiting for the day I lay still and reach that pearlescent light.
