It was Jasper’s first day back at work after Harry forced him to take a week off and he was honestly eager to finally be back. Missing that bit of adrenaline rush whenever he went out on the field. He walked down the hall towards his office, pausing at the door when he saw that someone was actually inside, causing him to do a double take and check whether the door plate said his name. “Erm, excuse me?” he spoke up, trying to get the stranger’s attention. “If you’re lost, the interns down the hall will be more than happy to help you around.”

Antoni scoffed, “Has it been so long that you don’t recognize me, kuzyn? I mean you look far different than the last time I saw you but i still recognize that horrible face under that scuff of yours.” He stood to give Jasper a hug, a wide grin on his face.

Hunter chuckled, running a hand through his curls. “I hadn’t thought I would get this far, actually,” he mused. “You might be the only person who hasn’t threatened to slap me yet.”

He gasped, a little dramatically, “Slap you? No way I could never harm that face.” Antoni mused, smiling flirtatiously.

“If you’re that cold, I could always warm you up,” he said with a smile. “What do you say?”

Antoni had been pretty distracted from what Hunter had been saying, mostly just paying attention to the way his lips moved when he talked. “Huh?” HE remembered his previous comment about being cold, “Oh...well i mean i wouldn’t mind.”

Alma didn’t immediately look up at the sound of the knock, simply calling out for them to enter and finishing writing something down before she looked. “Oh- what are you doing here?”

Antoni raised a brow at her, “Did you forget? We had lunch plans.” He frowned, an unfamiliar look of worry growing on his face. She was one of the only people he cared for enough to worry about. “What’s wrong?” He could tap into her thoughts and find out, but he respected her too much to do so.

“This place is cute,” Julien hummed as he looked around the restaurant Antoni took him to. “Just like you,” he added and looked at the other with a smile, adding a bit of his veela magic in it. @antonixfawley​

Anotni’s face lit up at the compliment, his usually hyper active brain going a bit fuzzy from the magic. “Oh stop it, not as cute as you. I honestly can’t believe you said yes to coming. I thought you never would.”

She’d thrown herself into planning for the new school year, hoping it’d be a distraction from everything going on. Cassie looked up from her work at the other was standing there, blocking her light. Whether it was intentional or not, she rolled her eyes. “Do you mind?”

“Mind what?” Antoni teased, cracking a smile as he purposefully stood in Cassie’s light for another moment before leaning both hands on her desk. “Let’s have a drink. Come on, you need a break.”

“Look, I made likes a whole months rent in just two days this week. I want to spend money. Are you coming, or are you not coming?”

“Well when you ask so directly I guess I have to. “ Antoni shrugged, thoug he was smiling just a bit. “Where to, then?”

“That and you’re not such an asshole,” he pointed out, chuckling before he finished his drink off and he set the empty glass down on a passing try. “You can try to have a dance with her but she might hurt you. I’m not responsible for any injuries that might come from that.”

“Hey now you don’t have to put it that way.” Antoni put his hand over his heart, feigning hurt. “I doubt she’d hurt me, I’m just so charming, why would she want to?”

Lincoln took another sip of his drink as he listened to the other man talk and he chuckled softly, “why don’t you go and dance with the pretty ladies then? Before you get too drunk that is,” he suggested and placed his now empty glass on a passing tray. “I just saw her a few moments ago chatting with her friends.”

“Oh no I better give it another drink or two. They like me better when I’m drunk, I think it’s because I give better compliments after a few drinks.” More likely it as because he wasn’t so cold and bored after a drink. “She looks lovely tonight, you’re a lucky man. Maybe I should go have a dance with her?” He suggested teasingly, smirking at Lincoln as he took a drink

She shrugged. “I think I saw one or two other girls wearing it, but I’ll take that compliment anyway because I’m the one wearing it best.” Cassie smirked and walked with him. She rolled her eyes and teasingly nudged him. “Quit. He’s not a giant. He’s just freakishly tall.”

“Indeed you are.” Antoni replied sweetly, leading Cassie into the crowd of people dancing before pulling her in and putting his free hand on her waist. “Freakish is accurate.” He teased, chuckling lightly.

“Ooh,” Kennedy practically purred, a smile on her lips. “Someone likes to play hard to get?”

“Well I can’t just make it easy for them, can I? Not when I’m so much better than the rest of them. I deserve a bit of effort, don’t you think?”

“So much confidence in your abilities. I almost believe you.” Wynn smirked, obviously teasing as she adjusted her mask. “You look good, the stripes are different.” She pointed out, sticking her hands in her pockets.

“Almost? Here i thought you had faith in me.” He joked back, giving a small laugh. “Thank you, I thought it would be nice to stand out from the crowd. You look lovely as well.” He grabbed two glasses of champagne off a passing tray, holding one out for Wynn. “Need a drink?”

Lincoln clinked his glass against Antoni’s before he took a sip of his drink. He looked back at the other man as he chuckled, “no wonder you handle these parties with such ease: you’re completely wasted for them.”

“Well that’s the only way to go about it. Why struggle through these ridiculous things when you can just get trashed on free drinks and have a dance with every pretty thing in the room?” Antoni certainly wasn’t as antisocial as normal, and he had the alcohol to thank for that. “Speaking of pretty things, wheres your date?”

“My brother didn’t think my original was festive enough,” she shrugged, but looked up at him with a smile. “Thank you. You do, too.” Cassie reached out to take his hand. “I did, didn’t I?”

“Really? Well white certainly is, and unique too. I think you’re the only one here wearing it.” He replied with a smile, taking her hand in return. “Don’t let your darling giant see us e might get jealous.”

He watched him with amusement before he shook his head, “you just let everyone in here know you’re an alcoholic when you grabbed the second drink before even finishing your first,” he said as he held his glass up. “But cheers.”

“Good, I want to be on everyone’s minds.” He said with a laugh, clinking his glass against Lincoln’s before practically finishing it in one swig. “And just like that I’m back down to one glass, tragic.”

“Hey hey hey, I’ll have you know I do not puke in public. I have more class than that.” He flashed a smile, grabbing another drink from a passing tray so he had one in each hand. “Cheers”

“No no no, you promised me a dance, remember? And you look lovely, though i didn’t fix you as a white gown type.”
