My first post and its of the sudden realization that I had once had a small crush on fandoms Tumblr Sexyman version of Gaster once upon a time. Whoops. What can I say? I like a skelly man who can talk with his hands- probably blame Jack Skellington for that!
Will post some actual art of Charon soon!!
The song (and art) that caused this art to happen.
My secret santa gift for d3adm0ss over on bsky! They had requested fits for his character Ari! Thank you for hosting @pinsterwglasses, I'm glad I was able to take part!!
For those curious, more info on the design process below!
d3adm0ss was kind enough to provide a pin board of outfit inspo for Arizona. I'm a big fan of alt fashion (and grew up in the 2000s) so I immediately vibed with what I saw haha! Since DIY is often a big aspect of alternative fashion, I thought it be best to try my own take on some new designs, and add in elements that were clearly altered. Here are some of the notes I took, alongside a few refs from their pin-board + my own searches.
Colors were inspired by Aris character sheet, the pin board and marbled papers from Two Hands Paperie. Big fan of weaving texture & multiple colors into things (tri-colored colored pencils are my jam) and I thought this might help makes the outfit look a little more magical. When designing I tried my best to keep the outfit mostly simple, with a few key details to add some extra omph. Ari's ears, hair, and tails are really stunning, so I also wanted to give him something that would (hopefully) balance with their design, and not take away from their key features. You can also see an early sketch of his features! Even though there wasn't enough time to do a fully rendered illustration, I wanted to make sure I could get the essence of the design across- and that it still felt like something the character would wear! (plus I didn't want to just give the design on its own lol).
Some key notes about the design;
The top has been cropped! The sides are held together with large safety pins.
The large chain connects to the O-rings with metal clips! The metal is ether has different links in different coatings or colors, or has some kind of iridescent sheen.
Those are pants! They do zip up on the sides.
Tights are based off the ones in the inpo board above!
Kept the boots similar to the inspo board with small changes. I have Ari wearing socks under them.
Not seen: gold & silver hoops (small) with small gauges on his ears.
Bonus Art: Ended up painting over that sketch!
While coming up with ideas for this outfit I was watching ProZDs play Majoras Mask. The Astronomy Tower immediately inspired my color direction haha! Its very much something I like but I have 0 recollection of this area. Inspiration can come from the most random of places!
Thats all I got for now! Thank you again Pinster!! You were a lovely host! And thank you d3adm0ss for creating such a fun character.
For Week One of Waku Waku March!! Alan was so happy to have found a Wounderful in the mines!! Looks like he was working with one of the (protag) kids to find it! Done with a mixed of watercolor, gouache, and color pencil with touchups in CSP!
Hello @anuntitledgrave I was your @bokumonoexchange Spring Exchange partner! I wrote something for Jamie/Basil from MM and I hope you like it!! Sorry to post late in the day here, I was tinkering with the tags and am still not 100% sure they're as they should be. Thanks for partaking in the exchange so I could learn more about this game! Hope you enjoy 💚 edit: also if you have an ao3 please let me know so I can gift this to you!
Can’t believe I didn’t reblog this!! A very wonderful read- thank you again @foxcassius !! ✨🎉👏🩷 I know I’ve rambled about it a bit but I do really love this fic- especially the addition of flower language!! Hoping to one day draw a scene from it!
Yall should check it out even if you haven’t played the game- it’s a lovely story that can easily be followed by those unfamiliar with the characters!

Green-guiz-galor! Found a lot of lil guyz randomly on AF and then just started to seek them out to do an illustration! A pal of mine said this would make a good bandanna- what a fun idea! Maybe I'll try that out sometime (with different art).
Characters belong to Rocky5, BerZuki, ElectronicSeaFish, Sumixam, Jewelbox, silly-xin, @sukukawaii, Jaystripes, and TurnipBoy6!

A belated "revenge" for @lunammoon who drew one of my characters last year for AF! They were the first to ever attack me on AF and I wanted to return the kindness.
This was done primarily in gouache, with colored pencils and ink as needed (and some touch-ups in CSP).

A very freeing n fun attack for BeetlePlague on AF! Their character/sona Fridge seemed like a perfect excuse to go grayscale haha. This was an earlier attack, so I treated it more as an experiential warm-up and tried to emulate some of my favorite artists. They are (from left to right); Edward Gorey, Brett Helquist, C. H. Greenblatt & Thurop Van Orman!
This was done in markers & pen + the addition of washi tape.

During AF I fell head first into a new love of Deltarune lol! I ended up finding a LOT Of really cool fan-characters and AU versions of deltarune canon characters on AF- sadly I didn't get to drawing many of them but I was able to draw @dra-ghost 's Sorbet (AU version of Seam)!!
This was actually my first colored pencil heavy artwork in like..15 years? The base was done in watercolor (I believe on toned paper or possibly a paper bag) and I layered pencil over it to get some of those brighter hues! There were some small edits done on CSP, but not as many as you'd think!
Thats all I got!! I'll leave ya with a close up of the scanned painting before any edits. Thanks for reading!

Finally getting these attacks up over here! This one was for Ghost_fish on AF! The background/base is tester paper from an art supply store (like where people try pens) and WOW IT WAS NOT MADE FOR WATERCOLOR (go figure haha)!! Ended up using a combo of colored pencils, highlighters, pens, markers, and gouache, then CSP to clear up some areas + add those darker lines.
I has been planning on writing up breakdowns for all of these but I think that'll have to wait for my final write-up of AF 2025!
“This?… I suppose I'll cast it into the flames and see what happens.”
Last year I came up with an AU version of the Wizard from Stardew Valley! I wanted to do a write-up explaining his design, how he changed from his og concept (and differences from the game) bc that sort of thing just generally interests me haha! There was something typed up, but I've shelved it for now since I'm not as attached to the fandom as I was earlier this year. Who knows! Maybe I'll revisit it again oneday lol. I will leave some lil facts about this versions of him tho!
This version of the Wizard is a fae who wears a human disguise! I had designed both his human and non-human forms (this is his human disguise).
He's a bit vain and does use glamor to make himself look smoother/prettier. If he wasn't using so much magic he'd look like a well-dressed man in his 50s who wears eye-liner.
Wardrobe is very 1970s with a preference for alt influences.
Had married the Farmer in his story, however she has passed on at this point in time. Nothing tragic! They lived a happy life together.

The character on the left belongs to Daridaan & the character on the right belongs to Bog_Art! More on the art below the cut!
These were both quick lil warm-up experiments! They're painted on lined notepad paper and had very little touch-ups (I think I just adjusted the color since the scanned faded them a bit). It never ceases to surprise me how versatile gouache and colored pencils can be! The mediums really helped carry the vibes of both characters (who have very VERY different energies)!!
For anyone curious; for both characters I did an under-sketch with markers (water based) that I then worked on top of with a combo of paint/pencil! I knew I wanted to use ink or colored pencil to add texture/lines/highlights, so I tried to help my future self with color placement. You can see some of my process above!

Another attack for Art Fight! This one is made up of Alternate Universe Gasters or designs inspired by Gaster! From left to right their designers are; PixOrbix, @apriifooled, MakIg, @peachy-doodles, & @stickylizardcave !
More about the process n stuff below the cut!
Why Gaster?
Valid question. Short version is that I got into Deltarune finally, which led me to remembering the tumblr sexyman Gaster (aka how the fandom had it down bad in one way or another for this weird easter egg of an anomaly). Art Fight allows AU versions of canon characters, and after flipping through pages of Frisks, Kris's Tennas and the-many-faces-of-Spamton I wondered if there was any Gasters...and there are! Less than some might think, bit there def are.
[ Above is the final version of the attack! ]
Anyway, I think its cool when people make AU versions of characters! I bookmarked the ones that stood out to me the most and went from there. Not all of them were drawn this time around (lord there isn't time) but next year..it'll be a Gaster sweep!! (Maybe.)
The Process
Sorta sped-run through these. Knew I wanted to make it a gif (final version, see below). At first the different Gasters were going to be speaking to another character, or to the viewer, but I wasn't sure if that would be out of character for some of them (how they speak, if they speak ect) so I opted to use a quote associated with Gaster. I had picked 13 characters (pun not intended), only realizing afterwards that the lack of color or detail on some of them made it hard to show the differences in design when set next to more detailed or colorful designs. Thats primarily why I chose mixed media- and focused on their faces + some sort of setting/vibe in the image- allowing me to anchor each design (in theory) in different universes, which would (hopefully) automatically give the view the impression they're looking at different versions of the same character.
Photo of artwork before it was scanned and had digital elements added! Colors are more vibrant in person.
If I had more time to work on this I think I could have done waaay more than I did! The plan was to do some in traditional mediums with some digital elements, and the rest on my computer in different styles. The fully digital ones got the boot- I just don't have time- and I focused the rest of my free time (this was all done in like 6 hours on Sunday) to clean up the art and shove it together. And I mean! It worked I think! Lotta shoulda coulda woulda- but for the time I spent on this (and came up with the concept, allowed paint to dry ect) I think this looks pretty cool
Wrap-Up & Materials
Drawing Gaster is like, really fun. Who knows, maybe you'll see some more art of him from me- or at least of some of the various Gasters out there. Who can say!! Not me! I'm too sleepy lol.
More AF posts to come next month!!

The Process
Most of the time when I do trad art I'll do a rough sketch in marker or pen, sometimes pencil/colored pencil. This time around I went a little old school (for me anyway) and tried my best to be intentional with my lines! It can be tricky to plan out with pen- esp when you won't be using white out! Some of them I added in black way too early- that would bite me in the ass later haha!
Working like this can be a little tricky (for me anyway) because I feel like I need to work backwards. In my minds eye I can see the final layer of inks or lines that will help pull everything together, but I need to build those layers underneath the lines before I can actually line it. Once I got into the groove of things it came easier, but some of the illustrations were a little trial and error.
At some point I went "fuck it get the gouache" and broke out my himi palette! I purchased this last year and have made it a soft goal to try and finish this dang thing by next Art Fight at the latest. (I'll do another post on himi gouache another day.) This really helped with the areas that I fumbled with, or sections that weren't popping as much as I wanted them to. In my final versions the bottom illustration had the most gouache on it, which really pulled it all together!! The only illustration I did any major digital painting on was the top-right portrait of Nacht- his artwork didn't look bad or anything, it just didn't have the level of oomph I wanted, which happens with trad art sometimes (and vise versa)!
Wrap-Up & Materials
Ngl, I really wanted to go into Art Fight with a BOOM! I wanted to roll in, do some crazy illustration to show how much I loved some of these characters...and then life happened LOL! I also did not plan on joining AF this year, so idk in what reality showing up with some massive painting was realistic lol. Still- I AM very happy with this art! Every time I flip through my sketchbook I get to see this, and its a nice reminder of having fun with my art.

Illustration for a dropped project. In the future I might talk about it more/post more about it! Put a lot of myself into it, and had a blast working on it while it lasted.
15 of the 16 attacks I did last year! All characters belong to their rightful creators / owners!! There's so much to say on all of these- I wish I wrote this up last year haha, I'd remember more about myprocess! Most were done traditionally or at least partly traditionally (sketched and inked on paper then scanned in, colored/painted on paper then touch ups or embellishments were added after ect) Not sure if I'll be able to draw 16 finished illustrations- we shall see!
My favorite attack from 2024!! Put off posting it for the longest time because I forgot to un-hide a layer (the one that had the coffee pot) that my attack submission is missing. Oh well! Better late than never with uploading over here!
A cafe setting felt like the perfect way to show all different types of sonas, each with their own unique styles and characteristics, sharing a space. My favorite part is probably all the little messy details you can't really see that I spent..way toooo much time on haha! Thats ok though, its those things that. like adding the most!
The sona designs belong to; Gummi-Scr1bblez, Oliveofdoom, AngelSami, paradoxgavel, goobiyubi, h0neyfr0g, & myself! (And a cameo of @crowebirb!) You can see the actual attack over here!
