Rather than anything rlly big and important, I wanted to go with the idea that they both promised, n both were each other’s heroes at some point. First panel was supposed to reference Jiang Cheng feeling like nothing, wearing himself out to be better while Wei Ying just begs him to stop but uh. I think it spiraled to Wei Ying holding Jiang Cheng tgther after the parents died. Take it as you will I guess
