“Forman bailed on me,” Hyde explained. “I gotta get dental work done tomorrow, and I’m not gonna be able to drive myself home. He told me he’d do it but decided to cancel at the last minute in favor of a weekend getaway with Donna.” Hyde crossed his arms over his chest, and Jackie couldn’t help but chuckle at the sight.
“What are you laughin’ at?”
“I’m not laughing at you, just that you seem surprised Eric would rather spend time with his girlfriend than drive you around all day,” Jackie shrugged. “Seems pretty obvious to me.”
Hyde rolled his eyes and stood to grab a popsicle from the chest freezer. “I’m not surprised, I’m pissed cause now I have to find someone else to take me.”
It was a no brainer, really. Offering to drive Hyde to his appointment was what any good friend would do. Only she didn't realize how difficult it would be to be around her ex when his zen was nowhere to be found.
Or, Hyde has to go under anesthesia and says some very interesting things when he wakes up.
