the smug condescension of a man who, upset that his privilege has been identified, asserts his male privilege knowing that a fair number of people will hop on board the "trans women are paranoid and divisive" train rather than interrogating their own biases and coming to the defense of more vulnerable members of their community.

the cherry on top was the tags, where he addressed the transfem he reblogged by name and said "I'm disappointed in you" as if she had done something wrong by sharing a post about her specific oppression. it's genuinely gross how trans women are treated so poorly so casually. how dare we speak?

In Crenshaw's original paper, the literal first example was a company that fired all the black women but successfully argued in court that it wasn't discrimination on gender or race because they kept the black men and the white women.

Changing the context from black women to trans women doesn't fundamentally change the applicability of intersectional theory, even while the specifics of the oppression may change a lot.

Juggernaut is the greatest super villain ever.

He's Charles Xavier's older abusive step brother, who was experimented on by Mister Sinister. He's not a Mutant though. He got his powers from a magic rock granted power by the cosmic god of momentum. Juggernaut literally cannot be physically stopped. Then, because he knew his step brother was a telepath who could potentially stop him, he got a magic helmet that prevents telepathy from working on him. They once lit him on fire just to see what happened, and it turned out that an on-fire Juggernaught was even more dangerous than normal Juggernaut, because now he was unstoppable AND was covered in fire. And sure the guy had a troubled childhood, but there's not really a big climactic reason he was ever a super villain. He was always just in it for the love of the game. So Juggernaut just runs forward and obliterates whatever happens to be in front of him. Even if it's the World Trade Center.

If that trans girl gets super weirdly apologetic, like is borderline apologizing for breathing or is apologizing for things that are basically nothing/happened forever ago, whatever you do, do not leave her alone. Chances are it's one of two things, and neither of them are good; she's either bordering on a breakdown and thinks basically everything she does is wrong, or is past that point and desperately wants to make sure no one's angry at her before she hurts herself/takes her own life. You might think it's weird, you might get tired of it and want to push her away, but for the love of god do not do that. Her apologizing every 0.5 seconds is because she's been taught not to value her own emotions, but they're overpowering her and she doesn't know what to do other than apologize like her life depends on it. Her life might not depend on it, but it very well could depend on how you respond to her heart's most desperate cries for help

hi everyone, i'm an autistic transfem who has been living on and off in backpacker hostels for the past few years and i also had to get off HRT a few months ago and that isn't fun at all because i literally have more pressing health problems. i had to leave my cats at the pound (they're fine they got adopted by a vet but i'm not).
