Aziraphale and Crowley
GOOD OMENS 3 (2019 - 2026)
Stop Blaming Aziraphale for Everything
Good Omens fandom, Impossible Game
They have both been trying to do the right thing, teaching each other, learning from each other, rescuing and protecting each other, learning to love each other more deeply over time.
And together, they will rescue each other and humanity.
Neither could succeed without the other. Neither is wiser or more advanced or more moral. They are both ridiculous and both brave, both protective and loving, both insecure at times and struggling from the situation they can't escape. Either of them.
Blame the system. Which they will destroy together and be free.
But not Aziraphale, whom Crowley loves, and who can't not love either humanity or Crowley. We know this. He's INSANELY obvious about how loving he is, his heart is on his sleeve. I hope he knows how much Crowley cares for him, too.
The SFX Magazine May Issue is going to have an article about the Finale of Good Omens! :) <3 (x,x)
After two six-episode series, the bromance of angel Aziraphale and demon Crowley is wrapping up with a feature-length special. We catch up with director Rachel Talalay.
Worth Remembering
I think @dalliancekay is the only person I've seen acknowledge this on a regular basis, but it's very important when discussing the characters' motivations: Crowley is just as trapped by circumstance as Aziraphale. It's easy to treat his fall like a metaphor for being kicked out of one's home or transitioning, but it's more like bring extradited from one shitty prison to another, slightly shittier one. He has a fair amount of autonomy in season one bc Satan likes his work, but in season two we see Beelzebub drag him to hell and threaten him, and Shax can show up in his car and fuck with him at will. They're not going to be safe if Aziraphale "catches up" or follows Crowley or "realizes that Crowley was right," because Crowley isn't in a better place than him. Falling didn't magically imbue Crowley with an abundance of common sense that Aziraphale lacks. Cynicism isn't inherently correct.
Aziraphale's go-to solution is to confront the issue and talk to someone in charge. Crowley's is to look for an escape. Neither is completely right or completely wrong. And I realize that with *gestures at reality* it's tempting to assume that Crowley is right and "you can't change anything," but this story's ending was conceived by a man whose characters routinely re-alter reality through sheer force of will. His point was always and will always be that we need to believe that we can make a difference, and once we do then anything is possible.
🪽 A demon in disguise 😈
Crowley's new look is really COOL. I prefer it to the one from the second season. The trailer was released a few hours ago, but I couldn’t bring myself to make my own personalised version of my love
Crowley in heaven 😇
heaven crowley 🔥🤍
im so excited aaaaaaaaaa
Not so hot take, I love Aziraphale but there is nothing wrong in thinking that he needs to apologize, if anything at least for calling Crowley one of the bad guys, after everything. After everything!
I'm so tired of people saying that he was so innocent in all of this and even if he was manipulated he could have still went about it a different way. Just because my opinion is different doesn't mean it's wrong and I'm tired of all this hate in the fandom because of it. What happened to the good old days of discourse instead of shooting someone down right away for not agreeing with you, I'm so tired of it. I'm open to all opinions and love hearing about different views but so many people in this fandom have such a closed mind and only what they think is right, it's really sad. I love this show but I'll be glad when it's over.
Well, what’s exhausting to me is seeing people treat Aziraphale as if he were the only one who needs to apologize (I'm not saying he did nothing wrong).
For me, they've both reacted badly to their, at the time, strong emotions. If Aziraphale needs to apologize for 'you're the bad guys' (cause I agree, it was bad), why doesn't Crowley need to apologize for the 'no nightingales', the 'idiot', and the kiss? That was bad too.
And actually, I think neither of them owes an apology to the other. And if they want to "fix" their relationship, an apology could be a good start, but it certainly won't fix anything on its own.
Anyway, I'm really tired of seeing people say Aziraphale owes an apology to Crowley, the exact same way I would be if people were saying Crowley owes an apology to Aziraphale.
But people never say that for some reason.
told myself i would wait for s3 to actually come out to start painting stuff but couldn't resist the temptation so here's a quickish thing
~ i’m absolutely in love with this new look✨ ~
I forgive you.

So I played a game
aquamarine, moonlit swimming pool, what if...?
No more Albert Hall. No more Glyndebourne. Just celestial harmonies. And that's just the start of what you'll lose if you win.
