I'm back ♡! I just realized there are only a few hours left until the event ends, so I need to get this information out of my system and move on with my life.
Part 2: The first encounter with Solomon and the school in Heaven
♡ Spoilers for Lucifer's Student card and The Sweetest Test in the World
Thousands of years ago, after angels, demons, and humans had already been created by God, Lucifer began to question the supposedly perfect state of Heaven and its inhabitants.
Was it possible for a perfect place to evolve? Could heaven improve or surpass itself? Be even better? His mind revolved around that question endlessly for a looong time.
Seen the state of his firstborn, God suggested him something a little weird, that he seek answers from someone he would never have thought to consult, ever. Solomon, a human king. In Lucifer's eyes, he was nothing more than an insignificant mortal (ﾟロﾟ)
He couldnt understand why God would even take an interest in someone like him, why he paid attention to him, why he favored him to such an extent that he even allowed him to visit Heaven at His side?? In a way, in his search for one answer he had created an entirely different question in his mind.
So, taking God's advice almost as a command, one day Lucifer accompanied Solomon to earth (to Jerusalem i suppose?, if we follow the bible). There Solomon would introduce him to to a concept entirely new to Heaven, a new system of learning known as 'school' (oﾟ▽ﾟ)o
And so, Lucifer watched as Solomon told stories and shared his wisdom to the enthusiastic people who gathered around seeking knowledge, also how Solomon's very presence naturally drew people to him. Hidden, Lucifer observed the scene for hours, so absorbed in it that he couldn't notice the passing of time until night had fallen.
Thanks to this demonstration, he had found a solution to heaven's problem (°◡°♡) or so he believed. Yet that other question remained, a small thorn stuck in his mind..
It must have been the wind, Luci.
Time passed, and Lucifer tried to create a school in Heaven, but... he failed miserably. The angels didn't cooperate, in fact they did the exact opposite lol
It was a greeeeeat disappointment, and after that major failure Lucifer just gave up on the idea. Though he never tried again, he always felt guilty for not having been able to make it work, especially for the sake of his three insane siblings.
Before the event came out, I wondered why Lucifer had been given the role of a student instead of a teacher, since he always gave me the impression of beeng this kind of person who would act as a mentor to at least his brothers (even to the demon ones!).
Well, thansk to his new chats we now know that even if he had the chance to choose his role, he would still choose to be a student, because he cannot bear the fact that he failed as a teacher thousands of years ago.
Oh, Luci ;;;
On a brighter final note, in the event Lucifer is able to participate again as an outsider/observer of the dynamics of a modern human school. Thanks to this, all those memories with Solomon came back, but now he has time to reflect on himself...

More AA doodle requests! It took forever to get used to drawing on the tablet....I ended up redrawing these multiple times and burning myself out LOL. Still not happy with how they came out but it's ok. I'm still practicing!

Kinari: Nevertheless, in JPN, festivals are usually recognized as events where individuals get super duper hyped.
Chihiro: Trueee! Also, Chii’s like, so stoked about doing a pipin’ hot summer job♪ I wanna go make some memories with everyone~!
Tao: Probs been a while since I’ve gone to a summer festival, now that I think of it…

Raito: The festival kept at that shrine has the former fight team I belonged to, EDGE3, in charge of security.
Kinari: Which means they’re seeking assistance?

Raito: Yes. Originally it was under the jurisdiction of another team called MIKOSHI, but they would do as they pleased at the festival, and wreck the whole place…
Raito: After we won the fight against them, things finally calmed down when they merged with EDG3, and the annual festival seems to be a success now. I haven’t gone out of my way to attend myself yet, though.

Kuguri: How tepid. Forcing us to listen to you brag about your local achievements.

Kinari: What would our roles be in the festival, in particular?
Raito: In accordance with the wishes of the executive committee, there are two main parts to this collaboration.
Raito: The first being Ev3ns exhibiting with self-produced stalls.
Raito: They want each member to be put in charge of a stall, and it’ll be to our own liking as to how we go about it.
Chihiro: OMG! What the heck, I wanna try that sooo bad! Does that mean my stall can be all like, cutie-pie gal style!?
Kuguri: Hmmm… to our own liking, huh?
Nayuki: Domeki-san. This is by far not the first time, however, let me remind you of some wonderful words.

Raito: Then there is the second part, a live performance on the main stage, but—

Nayuki: The head of the company has a moment of eureka and proceeds to throw it all the way down to the on-site personnel without any consultation… Under ordinary circumstances, the employees would be raising their pitchforks in a fit of rage…
Raito: Nayuki, this isn’t your usual kind of company, you know?
Nayuki: It’s merely that recalling the resentment I’ve been harboring for years on end is bringing me to the brink of exploding.
Raito: Ahaha… At least let me handle working out the plans as the leader here. I’m already acquainted with the other party, too.
Chief: That’d be great! Please let us know if there’s anything you need help with.
Raito: Aah, about that—
Raito: If possible, I would like for Tao to take the role of sub-leader.
Tao: Huh... me?
Tao: Like joining meetings and being in charge of other miscellaneous stuff, right? I was the sub host for the Wakayama tour, so I think I can handle it.
Raito: Obviously, your help regarding that will be much appreciated.
Raito: But as a matter of fact, this summer festival has a yearly tradition of holding a taiko performance.
Tao: …! Taiko…
Raito: And I really, really want to do it with you!
Chief: Taiko…! So Raito-san and Tao-kun will be drumming together, then?
Raito: That’s right on the money!
Chihiro: Okey-dokey, now it makes sense— All of that was about Raiting wanting to drum with Taotao~!
Tao: …Taiko, huh…
