Doodledex - #842-G Gigantamax Appletun

No, this isn’t a mistake, I didn’t draw the wrong thing… Flapple and Appletun’s Gigantamax forms are totally identical in terms of appearance. Their signature moves, G-Max Tartness and G-Max Sweetness, even have the same animation. (I’ve got more to say on this in the tags… you can ignore the “opinion zone” if you want.)

Instead of becoming almost unbearably sweet, G-Max Appletun’s nectar has become incredibly thick and sticky. This allows it to absorb more damage… as well as trap opponents more easily when Appletun decides to flood the arena with it! (…And yet, G-Max Tartness is the one that reduces evasiveness. G-Max Sweetness heals everyone on Appletun’s side of the battle!)

I think both Pokémon are great!

Design wise, I like Appletun more, though. It's more appealing to me because I like big round things, and I feel it makes more sense coming from Applin.

Flapple is still a great Pokémon though! It's pretty cute and funky. Thanks for the ask!
