Asian! Supreme Family Headcanons

I want more Asian representation in superhero movies, so I personally headcanon Stephen as half Japanese (mom side) and half English (dad side); Tony as half Korean (mom side) and half Italian (dad side)

- Stephen stopped speaking in Japanese after his family’s death (I headcanon his ability to repress certain memories + emotions are far stronger than his photographic memory) and eventually lost the culture/ the language

- He picks it back up during Kamar Taj for certain spell casting

- Tony never stopped practicing Korean culture after his parents died

- Tony can only cook Gyeran Jjim and Miyeok Guk (his mother always made it for him whenever he was sick in bed)

- Tony celebrates Children’s Day with Peter and always buys him a gift (despite Peter’s assurance he doesn’t need it)

- Stephen + Tony will spend some time relearning the Japanese (and Korean) language/ culture over the weekend

- Peter used to have a weeb and a Kpop phase, so he understands some basic phrases in both languages

- Peter often drops by at the Stark Tower to learn the language with them

- Peter plans to study abroad in Korea, courtesy of Tony

- Tony kept his baby Hanbok in his closet

- Tony took Stephen to Sendai, Japan for the Cherry Blossom festival (his anniversary present)

- They both say sweet nothings in their native language while cuddling in bed

Those are all the headcanons I needed to get off my chest :)

What I actually mean: I can’t stop thinking about how Tony Stark “adopting” Nebula would be the greatest thing of all time cause like, Nebula’s had a really shit life dealt for her and Tony knows exactly what it’s like to never live up to “Daddy Dearest’s Standards” so he would be the best new dad ever. There’s also the fact that Tony’s an engineer and Nebula is two screws away from being an android, so we could have a really cute parallel of Tony fixing Nebula emotionally while actually fixing her body parts to make them hurt less. Just imagine Tony bringing her home to Pepper from Titan and being like, “This is Nebs. She’s scary and could kill me with her pinky toe, but she’s been neglected by a purple grape. I’ve known her for less than a week, but I love her. Can we keep her, Pepper? Please?” Of course, Nebula would act all stony and emotionless, but deep inside she’s secretly hopeful that, especially after losing her sister, there is someone in the galaxy who will simply appreciate her for who she is and doesn’t expect more than she can do-

Running his stained, calloused, fingers through his disheveled hair.

Singing softly under his breath.

Tugging on Stephen’s waist when he stands from the bed, dragging him back under the covers.

Stretching up on his toes to grab something from a shelf.

“Five more minutes.”

Sticking his hand out from under the umbrella, letting his fingers get caught in the rain.

Randomly leaning over to steal a kiss.

Narrowing his eyes mischievously before making a sarcastic remark.

“Righty tighty, lefty loosey.”

Leaning, half-asleep, on the kitchen counter, nursing a second cup of coffee.

Burying himself under a mound of blankets, complaining of the cold.

Smiling brightly when talking about Peter, his tech, his friends; about the things he loves.

Dancing around the lab as he works when he thinks no one’s watching.

Scrunching his brows in concentration as he gnaws on his lower lip.

“Blueberry?”

Reaching out in his sleep to grab Stephen’s hand.

Laughing freely, his eyes crinkling at the corners.

His forehead creasing, his eyes shining with passion, and his hands fluttering through the air as he tries explaining something mechanical.

Claiming a shirt that hangs to his knees as his own.

“Come on, do the butterfly spell again.”
