Cause I've been watching a bunch of edits and I just thought how insane it is that Su was so strongly opposed to apologising to Lin for permantly marking her face and hurting the family dynamic, to the point Lin physically broke down from the emotional burden.

I like to think that Annabeth and Clarisse grew up to view each other as sisters. Like in this scene in TLT, they are fighting like siblings.

Sure, they get on each others nerves and don't always get along but they lived their childhood together and that's a pretty big deal.

Sad Linzin headcanons:

Tenzin is haunted in his sleep. After spending years meditating over it, Tenzin realizes that he is repenting after hurting Lin the way he did- that it is his karma to wake up everyday craving Lin's presence just to be punished by seeing Pema. In his sleep- whether it's his dreams or unconscious mind, he forgets that the breakup ever happened- he is convinced that he's with Lin and that it's her sleeping beside him only to wake up, shocked and confused, every morning year after year, in retribution.

Lin still uses Tenzin as her moral compass. Whenever she's faced with a difficult situation, she likes to imagine what Tenzin would advice her in that situation and makes sure to incorporate "his opinion" when making a decision. Of course, there were times she wanted to completely mute her mind from playing Tenzin's voice and do the exact opposite of what that voice told her. Those were dark times. But now, she has come to learn to accept it with grace.

Tenzin allows himself to kiss Lin on the cheek not more than once a week. He plays it off nonchalantly, as if it means nothing- it's a simple greeting but in reality, that kiss is a very calculated, well thought out indulgence.

Tenzin can't stand to be alone in a room with Lin for more than a few moments. His body would not be able to handle the weight of the unsaid words between them.

Lin never kisses his cheek back. She only accepts it- once a week. She thinks it's routine and if he were to break that routine by kissing her any more than once, she'd cut him out for it. But if he ever stopped, she'd never think about the joy that trivial gesture brought her.

Their hugs always last a little longer but not long enough for either of their muscles to retaliate and break free of the carefully controlled relationship they share.

Tenzin leaned in to whisper in her ear. Of course, nobody could hear him, but Lin stiffened when he spoke. "I need you take your clothes off." His hand was on the small of her back, massaging the area carefully. Lin glared at him. He may be the last Airbender, but she was ready to live in a world with none. He was simply insufferable. And of course he'd say something like this when he was around. "Tenzin, zip it!" she chided from between gritted teeth, looking straight ahead. Tenzin laughed and casually moved his arm around her shoulder to draw her closer into his embrace. "What can I say, councilman," the man continued. "I thought you had found soulmate in the young acolyte." Lin stifled an eye roll. Or maybe she was just distracted by thoughts of killing Tenzin. His hand dropped back down under the table inconspicuously and made its way up her thigh. Lin stiffened again. But when his fingers glided between her thighs, she actually considered fracturing those appendages between her well-sculpted adductor muscles. "Pema was but a chapter in my book. Lin, on the other hand, is the whole story of my life. She's on every page." And now he had to go and be a sweetheart. Asshole! His hand slid under her skirt. That's it. No more Airbenders.

Poppy called out to her granddaughter for the second time that morning. The Beifongs weren't known for their patience. But when Poppy yanked off the duvet to reveal her wild house guest, she was greeted by pillows. This was Lin. Lin Beifong didn't sleep in late like her mother. Lin Beifong, like her mother, snuck out of the house though. "Lao, send the guards out to find Lin!" she yelled, expecting, like routine, for her voice to reach her husband downstairs. "She's been here less than a day and you already lost her?!" his voice shrieked back. "If I could carry her in my mouth like a horse-frog, I would. But we're humans!" The yelling was incessant but very natural to the couple. It was their love language- of sorts- their most sacred modicum of communication. They would argue from different corners of the house- and while they wouldn't lose their voices, most around them were sure to lose their hearing. But just as the scullery maid, Yin, in the kitchen was about to plug her ears with cotton, the bathroom door slammed open against the wall. With a thin towel wrapped around her body, Lin's eyebrows joined at the sight of her grandmother in her bedroom. "I didn't run off! I went to shower." Lin had to yell to make sure her grandfather heard her too- else the old couple would still be screaming, beating around the bush. Luckily, Yin's ears were plugged.

I’m thinking about Linzin tonight so here’s very very soft, touchy headcanons:

The first thing Lin does when she enters the house is touch Tenzin’s shoulders; very softly. Tenzin already feels her coming in through the wind but only relaxes, after a stressful day, when he feels her hand on his skin.

Lin will often complain about dry skin in the winter but never moisturize. And Tenzin, while moisturizing his body will also massage some into her limbs and back.

Tenzin knows knitting his fingers through her hair at the end of a long day will put Lin to sleep.

Rainy evenings are spent on the couch. Lin is sitting up listening to the radio, hands caressing his face/head while Tenzin is lying in her lap, reading a book.

Tenzin kisses her cheek first thing when he sees her.

Lin always reaches for his hands when she’s nervous, no matter who’s around.

Sometimes Tenzin likes to be the small spoon but the second Lin curls around him, he wants to spin her around squeeze her in his arms.

Yall I feel like I'm going crazy....pls tell me someone remembers that multi-chap Tokka fic that was cross-posted on ffn and ao3 back in like 2017/2018. It was a atla/lok fic and around 17 chapters and it started with Toph finding out she was pregnant after Kanto cheated on her. There was a flashback of her, Zuko, and Aang walking in on him cheating on her in her apartment. She was neighbors w an old waterbending lady and she went to her to confirm she was pregnant. I also remember a scene where her parents visited unnounced while Zuko was with her at her apartment and she rushes to clean up and she doesn’t want to tell them about the pregnancy. Her and Sokka moved into a house together with baby lin by ch 17. There was a big subplot about Azula causing trouble and being jealous that zuko viewed toph as his younger sister. I also remember scene where katara and toph were sitting in a closet and katara was giving her some maternity clothes..
