Shaneâs hands trembled at her slip-up.  The fact that she had been comfortable enough or distracted enough to even want to touch the boy in front of her spoke volumes, but he probably didnât know that.  Shaking her head she continued to retreat from him, her face heated enough to match the color of her shorts.  âY-y-yes, well, th-that may be, but he k-kind of helped me d-decide what to wear, and the p-payment was that I pro-promised him a dance.â  It was a lie.  Shane had rhythm when it came to playing music, but that was about it.  She was not a very graceful dancer.  âU-um.  Have fun tonight, Apollo.  Y-you deserve it after h-how well youâve been playing and how har-ard youâve been studying.â
Apolloâs head cocked to the side as she kept backing away from him. âShane, where are you going?â He asks, brow furrowed in confusion. âEros is off doing something, so could I have a dance first?â Apollo asks gently. Heâs not sure what heâs done to make her shy away from him so easily, but sheâs friends with Eros and on the same team as him, and Apollo doesnât take his friendships very lightly. âCome on, please?â
