Aquatic's Library
A list of fanfics that I have written so far. All of these can be found on AO3.
Well, This Is Shit
Dragon Age. Varric/Solas. Multi-chapter.
One could say that Varric was not having the time of his life. Spending over a decade tracking down your ex bend on tearing down the Veil. Shit. Getting stabbed by said ex's lyrium dagger. Shit. Harding claims that the dagger ought to have killed him. That Solas had pierced his heart. All utter nonsense for he was here, lying in bed, about to head to sleep.
Though maybe he should have agreed to let Neve take a look at him prior to closing his eyes. Then again, why shouldn't he add dreaming and magic to the already heaping pile of dung he found himself in?
To Dance Among Nevarran Dragons
Dragon Age. Rook/Solas. One Shot.
To celebrate their defeat of Johanna Hezenkoss, Rook, Harding, and Emmrich are invited to a masquerade ball at the Grand Necropolis. Fleeing from Emmrich's attempt to feed the both of them every Nevarran food present in the ballroom, Rook notices a stranger. A stranger who may very well be the only other guest willing to communicate with them. Rook may come to regret this.
A Spirit That Fits
Dragon Age. Rook/Solas. One Shot.
After waking up in the Infirmary as an elf, Rook goes to the Veil Jumpers to find out why. When Morrigan reveals to them that they have 'spirit-bonded', Rook knows who to blame. Or at least they think they do.
The Necessity of Regret
Dragon Age. Bellara Lutare & Solas. Bellara & Cyrian. 2/2 chapters. Rated Mature for blood and violence.
After an unsuccessful meeting with the First Warden, Bellara must reach out to Solas for advice. Things take a turn for the worst when she accidentally awakens a Regret demon. Removing the marks it leaves behind on Solas proof rather difficult to remove, especially after Bellara makes a discovery about her brother.
And Still the Simulacrum Lingers
Dragon Age. Rook/Solas. One-shot. Rated mature for blood and smut.
When Rook gets trapped in a memory, they are sentenced for breaking into Dirthamen's library. The last thing they expect to see, is Solas wearing Mythal's vallaslin. That is, however, nothing compared to his offer. Solas promises to free them in exchange for guiding him to the Dread Wolf's place of exile. With no choice but to agree, Rook goes on a journey that threatens to alter more than their perception of the mage who seeks to tear down the Veil.
Keep on Falling Through
Dragon Age. Rook/Solas. One Shot. Rated Mature for major character death and mild smut.
After falling through a tear in reality, Rook ends up in the Deep Roads. Stumbling upon a map of the area, they are interrupted by a dwarf who looks a lot like the elf that broke their heart. The decision to kill him to save Thedas comes fast. Problem is, he kills them too, and Rook soon finds themself falling over and over again. Trapped in a time loop, Rook must find a way to break and return to their own universe or die trying.
Or, the four times Rook tried to keep Solas from reaching his goal and the one time they aided him.
It Doesn't Count If It's Blood Magic
Dragon Age. Rook/Solas. One Shot. Rated Explicit for smut.
Rook cannot recall when it began between them and Solas. All they know is this: they do not want it to end. The improper usage of their blood connection might have something to do with that. But what else is a Lord of Fortune supposed to do with a perfectly good bathhouse. Besides, everything will be fine as long as their teammates don't catch them in the act.
Blessed Are Those Who Care for the Tainted
Dragon Age. Rook/Solas. One Shot.
After defeating the Evanuris, they were supposed to enjoy a life of domestic bliss. Instead, Rooks finds themself caring for their tainted lover, Solas, while he attempts to soothe the final Titan. Through out the years, his condition has been getting worse. Now going through a seemingly never ending period of bad days, Rook knows that they must think of the future. Of who cares for Solas after they are gone. But that is conversation Solas is not ready to have yet and Rook knows it.
Your Touch Still Haunts Me
Dragon Age. Rook/Solas. One Shot.
From time to time, a memory Rook cannot forget pushes itself to the forefront. One from before he had met Varric, and before he had been kicked out of the Shadow Dragons. A memory of the day he met Solas. The day he lost a piece of himself.
A Game of Desire
Dragon Age. Rook/Solas. One Shot.
After being rescued from Elgar'nan, Rook finds themself trapped in an alternate timeline they had only ever heard of in the grand tales told by their mentor, Varric. Their saviour, a Solas corrupted by red lyrium, offers them the key to return to their own world. But if Rook wants it, they must earn it. The deal is simple: Rook agrees to play his game. He will give them one day to find the rune disguised as something they desire. Should Rook succeed, they will get to return home. But should Rook fail, they will be forced to accompany Solas for the rest of his life.
