Can you reblog/like this if you don't mind late responses

What I mean by this is if I become really busy and can’t respond to all of my rps, I want to know that it’s okay that I respond when I have the time. Some people easily lose interest in threads and will drop them if they become too old, which is why I’d like to know who is okay with me responding whenever.

Topaz laughed at the other, shaking her head. “Okay, first of all, you’re not even a boy. Secondly, that thing is tiny. Just go around it.” she said. She gestured to the small spider that sat in their path as she spoke.

“Hmm? Oh, well…maybe? I don’t know most of them too well… Black Star is pretty nice, though I’m not sure where she stays. I could ask, if you want. ” she offered, watching her. She was pretty cute. “You been out till just recently?”

Aqua had stars in her eyes. She grabbed topaz by a sleeve. “can you? Is she nice? Are there others?” she practically bounced. She assumed she was practically alone. Any evidence to the contrary was fantastic

She laughed, removing aquamarine’s hand from her arm. “One at a time, please. Yes there’s more. Nice? Let’s go with reasonable instead. You really don’t get out much, do you?” she asked the excitable gem before her. Her eye shone with amusement.

Aqua almost poofed herself with excitement. She bounced in place in front of topaz. “No, I really don’t. I live under a dock and talk to crabs all day, so I am like suuuper excited. Who’s your favorite? Who’s the coolest? Is anybody cute and single?”

Topaz couldn’t help but laugh. This gem was definitely excitable, and it was nice to have such a positive energy bouncing around her. “Okay, first of all, I don’t pick favorites. Secondly, I’m obviously the coolest.” she declared with a grin, crossing her arms over her chest. And thirdly, Pearl’s pretty. Calcite’s cute, but I doubt y'all would mesh well, and you and Black Star together would be like an apocalypse of hyper.“

If she was a lightbulb, she would have burned out from energy overload. Clapping her hands, she jumped up and down, giggling. “If you say you’re the coolest, then you’re definitely the coolest. Can you introduce me then? I really wanna meet ‘em! I wanna meet everyone!”

Topaz laughed, placing a hand on her head in an effort to still the jumping. “Okay, okay, but later. I think you’ll scare people away hopping around like that.” she said with a grin. “One gem at a time, yeah? How about you accompany me for a while?” she offered. It was probably gonna be a handful, but she couldn’t help but want to show this gem around. She didn’t want to spoil her mood when she seemed to happy.

Aqua nodded excitedly. She took a few deep breaths and tried to stop shaking. She didn’t even try to wipe the smile off her face. “Okay, okay! You’ve been around her before?” she asked. Laughing, she looped her arm around Topaz’s. “Where do you wanna take me then? I’m willing to go just about anywhere!”

Pearl flipped to the desserts section, going through the pages leisurely, displaying the images to the other. The other’s behaviour barely fazed her. She lived with Amethyst after all…

“Does any of this catch your fancy? I’m sure we’ll be able to figure any of this out. We’ve got all day.”

Aqua hummed, looking over the pictures. She rubbed her chin, trying to imagine how each dish would taste. Looking back to Pearl, she frowned. She wasn’t used to having this many choices.

“I can’t pick one,” she said deflated. “Can you pick something. I want something that’s.... That’s as sweet and elegant as you are.” She said, looking at the taller gem with a slight blush.

That was an honest truth. When she’d first cooked was a mystery to her. Very few of the other gems ate, so there was honestly no point. But she knew she’d certainly practiced before Rose had… gone.

She finally concluded, steepling her fingers together.

“Perhaps Rose used to enjoy eating.”

Aqua scratched her head, chewing on the bowl at this point. She felt like she was supposed to know that name, but it kept coming up blank in her head. She bit off part of the bowl and crunched, not bothering to swallow before talking.

“What’s a Rose?”

“Its… a flower.” Pearl sighed. She wasn’t in the mood to explain everything all over again, it often hurt just to think about. The crunching had faded into background noise now, Amethyst did it often enough that she found it easy to ignore at this point.

“Nevermind.”

“Huh… I didn’t think flowers drank soup.” Aqua frowned at her bowl. She had the nagging feeling that she said something wrong. Slowing her chewing, she looked at Pearl with a frown.

“I’m sorry, did I ask something stupid?”

“No. Its just… I’d prefer not to discuss that.” Pearl replied politely, curtly, her eyes drifting finally to the bowl. Losing Rose had hurt, and it hurt even now, the only thing she could do was try and forget.

“Anything you’d like to do?”

Aqua frowned, poking at the bowl with a finger. The older gem looked distraught to her, and Aqua felt bad. Racking her brain she tried to think of something to distract her. She looked up to Pearl with a bright smile.

“Teach me something cool!” she said, eyes sparkly. “I wanna learn how to do something cool, like cooking like you!”

“I suppose we could give that a shot?” Pearl sighed, reaching out, drawing the bowl away and throwing into the trashcan. There were ceramic shards all over the table now and she knew they posed a sizeable hazard to the human inhabitant of the house. She plucked a cookbook from the shelf and placed it down, flicking through.

“What would you like?”

Aqua stopped licking up ceramic shards to look up to Pearl. She brushed off her tongue, attempting to look like presentable. Humming, she leaned over, ignoring and shards that dug into her arms. She peeked into the cookbook.

“Do you have something.... sweet? Cause I had this thing called ‘cotton candy’ and I thought it was amazing.” she said, almost bouncing. “Like, can you make something like that?”
