WIP Folder game
Thanks so much @brotherdusk for the tag!! 🥹💖 Always down to rambling about books n' writing n' other shenanigans!
RULES: make a new post with the names of all the files in your wip folder, regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous. let people send you an ask with the title that most intrigues them, and then post a little snippet or tell them something about it! and then tag as many people as you have wips.
Here are some of my WIPs! Only 3 I'm (kind of) actively working on right now, the other two are either half-finished drafts or a messy collection of notes in my Google Docs app.
Poison WIP (main WIP - most likely my next book! Rebecca-inspired sapphic Gothic thriller)
The Boar's Bride/Bluebeard WIP (on hiatus while working on Poison WIP. Silence of the Lambs x The Bloody Chamber age gap Gothic thriller retelling of Bluebeard.)
Obsessive Creatures (Rebecca (1940) fanfic - Mrs Danvers x second Mrs de Winter)
Upon Her Bloody Horn (on-hiatus draft; enemies to lovers unicorn Gothic romantasy)
Ghosts Plague These Halls (on-hiatus development; formerly The Monster and the Butterfly; Victorian Gothic horror romance and haunted house story)
Sapphic Beauty and the Beast WIP (development; Gothic horror retelling of Beauty and the Beast..........wish monstrous MILF vampire Beast :3)
I have a few other IDEAS rn but I don't have enough right now to ramble about bshsbhsb!!
I tag @arabellaelynch @daincrediblegg @charismat1c-megafauna @ninawolv3rina @ibrithir-was-here @sidhewrites and whoever wishes to join in!!💕
aaaa would love some fun facts about The Wolf Pack!!
Ok! Let’s see what I have…
I do have a seen very heavily influenced by the fire seen in Disneys Robin Hood that I am absolutely falling in love with. It might not stay but it does involve my favorite character of The Witch Finder!
WIP FOLDER
It has been quite some time since I posted on tumblr! Thank you @theboarsbride for inviting me to participate!

1) The Story of a Lighthouse
Halina McMurry, a cold and often cynical woman is stranded after a horrific storm on the Rock Lighthouse Stevenson when delivering the quarterly supplies to its keepers. Faced with isolation and a past that seems to come alive on the rock, Halina and the keeper are forced to face their ghosts together, or lose themselves trying.
2) The Wolf Pack
A kingdom is faced with horror as dark creatures spill over the borders and burn anything in their wake. When one lone girl witnesses the carnage and escapes with her life, can she trust the knights who saved her? And more importantly can they trust themselves? Join our lance of knights as they fight against the darkness within and face an ice cold reality that seems stranger than fiction.
3) The Devil and Sister Maria
A young nun full of the joys of life is swept away during a horrify night of attack. When she discovered she has been kidnapped by a marquee of Hell, sister Maria must face the depravity that hell holds within and risk her eternal soul to rescue a man who may already be lost.
4) The Black Rose
William Gray is a physician who is summoned to the grand home of a mighty dictator whose aunt is woefully ill. But when the young nieces of the dictator disappear one night into the forest, William Gray cannot help but follow them in a bid to dissuade them from their foolishness. 5) The Adventures of the Wild Lady Catherine
One of the lowest rungs of British nobility, lady Catherine (or Kitty as she prefers to be called) finds herself to be the bargaining chip for her father‘s last plea out of destitution. After a desperate attempt to make the engagement work, lady kitty is far but satisfied with the conditions of the arrangement. In her own desperately plea for freedom, she accepts the marriage proposal of her father’s old stable groom. With a little money, but much friendship, the two embark on their new life together till peril and uncalled for adventure bites at their heels and forces them away from the quiet life that they had settled into. Travel with Lady kitty on her hunt to find her stolen husband and to rescue the perfect life that she once had.
I genuinely don’t know many authors on tumblr, besides Jo. I’m afraid I will have to leave this open ended and invite anyone who wishes to participate!!
Doomed by the narrative.

That hurts 🥲
TFW you accidentally come up with your enemies' new theme song.
This comic was so rushed lol. Hope any of you fellow yankees had a happy and safe 4th of July.
The fact that Morgan’s Riflemen whistled Yankee Doodle as they harassed retreating British soldiers on the way back to Concord after the battle at Lexington from the trees by the road, like the bunch of savage trolls that they were, picking off redcoats as they went. I chuckle at the eerie horror that must have been, being chased and picked off one by one by marksmen you can’t see after a battle you lost as they whistle the song you sang to mock them, and you can’t get away no matter how far down the road you go, because they’re always there. The shadows are moving, the crack of a rifle accompanies your favorite drinking song that mocks the filthy peasants, the people around you are falling, the road won’t end, Concord is always too far away, you can’t run fast enough, and they won’t quit whistling that song!!!
And then the Continental Army took it as an unofficial anthem, it became wildly popular among the troops, and they added more verses and rearranged them over time. They sang it often when there was a British surrender, just to be trolls about it, and sang it at the treaty-signing at the end of the Revolutionary War.
It’s hilarious to me.
This seems to have been a predictor of the American Spirit and the unlocking of the special “Professional Pain In the Ass” skill tree, and the acquisition of the very specific Ass-Kicking Boot.
Big “Leave Me Alone” vibes and a deep appreciation of irony.
And sarcasm.
And the casting of the “you can’t hurt me if I have a bigger stick” die that became a complex and then an overarching personality.
And an obsession with boats. ‘Cause the first two times the most powerful military in the world picked on Americans, they didn’t have nearly enough boats to fend them off with, so they said “absolutely not, never again” and steadily worked on building as many as possibly and innovating to make them better and faster and more powerful. Which is where we got the U.S.S. Constitution from, aka. “Old Ironsides” because the Live Oak sides of the ship were an incredibly tough example of hardwood, and the canon-power at the time wasn’t calibrated for such resistance yet.
But yeah. The Colonial era Americans were hilarious and delightfully puckish. It is an endless source of amusement for me.
i cant stop thinking about them omg someone save me
