I live! I’m going to be trying to do updates on how my writing is going like muffinlance does so I feel more motivated to write. I’m a bit scared to go back into it so I’m going to be starting out small! Just 1.5K is my goal (I usually write 3-4k words per chapter)

So! Currently have 150/1.5K written in about 20 minutes so I’m super proud of myself!

I got the chance to help a little old lady at a store today. She didn’t speak very much English, and my first thought wasn’t “God, why doesn’t she know English?” it was “God, why don’t I know Spanish?” And as somebody who has been taught to think the first by society, I think that’s a really big step. We went back and forth on a translator, and I was eventually able to point her to the isle she needed, and before she left I said “que tengas un gran día” which my Spanish speaking sister told me meant “have a great day”. It was…really badly spoken, I slurred over some of the words and probably sounded like an idiot, but it made her whole face light up and I really hope she’s doing good

Update and Questions Regarding a Next Update.

Hey guys! So, Ive got a few asks, asking how I am and what's happened, and why have I vanished from the face of the earth.

The last few months have been a bit of a mess. In good and bad ways?

Family sorta found out I don't wanna be part of the cult anymore, which led me to have a 3 day long breakdown. They took it... surprisingly well, maybe in part because I managed to get the house to my name before the shit went down.

I got into drama college, fun, took a few prep classes and then had to decide to wait another semester or two to join because shit's expensive and the fam is NOT gonna help on that. Acting is for sinners yadda yadda.

Grandma is going into early dementia and I've gone through a streak of uncontrollable sleepiness for which I'm getting tests.

I got a bit of a temp job and I'm working on opening a little store of handcrafted goodies.

But you guys are not here to hear about my life, that was just me ranting gratuitously. You want to know, is A Prince's Ruin gonna be updated? The short answer is: Yes, eventually. At least i want it to.

I have a list of basically how I wanted this fic to go on and eventually finish. According to my plans, it would end after another 10 chapters, which I had more or less planned out. But in all the months to follow, I've grown more and more self conscious of whether this planned development would be worth the wait. Would it be dissapoiting? Would it not be everything you guys wanted?

It started as my self indulgent smut fest, and then i got invested and got serious, and I'm like: all I've written so far is horror, porn, and campy sex comedies, I'm not versed in making angst end in a fulfilling way???

So, I guess what I'm asking here, is for you guys to indulge me, and answer a few questions for me? I guess to fine tune the rest of the fic into something not shitty?

What do you guys expect to see?

Ozai's torturous death?

Aang and the gaang finding about the shit going on at the Fire Nation?

Team up with Aang to take out Ozhit?

More dark smut?

Zuko once more, not catching a single fucking break?

Uncle Iroh saving the day?

Everyone suffering thanks to Ozai being a big ass sexual deviant?

Final big battle? (I warn you, I'm shit at action scenes)

1. if i drive by some flowers, i start smiling. involuntarily. and sometimes i pick them up. off the ground. i never pluck any!

2. im almost 19(looking forward to burdae cos i got only this to look forward to). that means whenever i see any chaotic discourse on desiblr, i feel like an aunty on the sidelines going “ah! the kids are at it again!”

Random facts about me hmmmm… really need to think a lot on this one….

1. I cry at wholesome content….like I ll literally start crying but it also helps me calm down when I am crying over some other reasons.

2. Even tho I claim I know what red flags are and what manipulation is and swear to myself that I ll see the red flags and won’t make a fool out of myself in my interpersonal relationships…. welcome to the episode of mojo’s top 10 stupidest people.

3. I like swearing a lot with my bestfriends….and even with other people too ….if we never sweared at each other (ofcourse playfully) or used cuss words in convos… it’s hard to bond with them (I am talking about real life friends mainly, online ones are far too sweet to corrupt their ears by such filthy words 😂😂)

1. I’m like a grandmother with technology + reading manuals/ doing the tutorial is boring = not a good combination. Please assume that I do not know how things work on the internet.

2. I hate the snobbish attitude of literature lovers. I believe that the right story for the right person at the right time is more important than mandatory reading books from this tiny list that people with no imagination have compiled. (Yes, I like fantasy. Yes, I know those things cannot happen in reality, that’s kind of the point. Yes, I also go to university, those two things don’t contradict each other.)

3. I love gaming, but I’m also terrible at it. I am very happy easy mode exists.

I’ve been outrageously busy lately and haven’t had much time to devote to Tumblr, so I’m glad to have an excuse to pop on. (Though I’ll admit I’m not sure if any of these facts are actually interesting…)

I’ve been playing violin for 30 years! I don’t play as much as I used to and I certainly don’t think I’m super talented at it, but it’s been a huge part of my life for a really long time. I talk tons on here about my love of metal music, but I’m also very passionate about classical. One of my greatest experiences in life was getting to see Itzhak Perlman in concert.

I’m a fairly rabid sports fan. Particular for the NY Yankees and Giants. I, err, may have had a bit of a side gig for a while when I was younger making extra cash on sports betting. Never made “enough to quit my day job” money, but it was fun supplementary cash. I just don’t have the time to keep up on it these days the way I used to, plus the world is so out of whack that it seems too much of a risky investment nowadays…

I’ve never share any of it on here, but I actually do a fair amount of art. I’ve yet to work out a technique that I like for digital art, but I’m decent at pencil/charcoal. I also like painting with gouache. I even dabble with some calligraphy (Anglo) and have been wanting to try my hand at Chinese brush calligraphy, though I think my Chinese and Japanese penmanship leaves something to be desired still…

2. I never knew that hallucinations seen out of the corner of your eye isn’t normal until just a few months ago

I am a walking disaster that has had some very stupid injuries/caused very stupid incidents which include (but are not limited to) sticking my hand down a moving treadmill, being the reason a door had to get broken down with a sledgehammer, and breaking my foot by walking. What if in CQL episode 42, before Jin Ling has a chance to stab Wei Wuxian, he’s knocked out and taken by Wangxian. (Or he could stab him and them get knocked out by Lan Wanji, whichever)

When he wakes up, everything is explained, like no Jin Ling, he didn’t kill your parents, there was someone else using a flute and controlling them. Of course, he doesn’t believe them, so they use empathy to let Jin Ling see the memories. After it ends, wangxian spends a few hours consoling a sobbing Jin Ling, whose just....shaking (and maybe he lets out one whispered apology, but if he does nobody mentions it)

And then Jin Lings relationship with Wei Wuxian becomes so much better.

BUT Jiang Cheng hates Wei Wuxian even more for officially taking everybody he loves from him (yanli, Jin Ling, he may even blame him for the deaths of his parents). Cue game of cat and mouse

Lwj is like a big dog that’s super scary looking, so nobody messes with them while he’s around

But nobody knows about wwx. Somebody insults a lesbian in front of him and he just....lunges at them and fights

And then later the lesbians collectively adopt wangxian as their gay dads and the two can’t go a single day without hearing “hey dad” and they love it and their 30 lesbian daughters
