INTRO POST (bc it's long overdue)

Hello gang, sorry for being dead /lh

If you don't already know, then hello! My name's Mars, and I run this blog. You may know me for my brief stint of posting Aventio content when I was hyper-fixated on HSR, or you may know me for my Dr Ratio analysis posts. If you stuck around, then thank you!!! I figured it was about time I did a little housekeeping and established some rules for the folks who'd like to stay!

IMPORTANT THINGS FIRST:

I try to keep my tumblr pg-13, but I do have a tag that'll get attached to my less-than-decent posts ( #I Am So Normal About Stuff )

Aside from fandom character studies (not that I do many of those these days,) all of my work is my own, so if you see something that looks like my work on a site where I don't have an account, or on an account reposting rather than reblogging, say something thank you!! I am into literally anything at any given time, just ask away and I will happily yap your ear off. Currently however, the major hyperfixes are the Lancer TTRPG, Magic The Gathering, S.T.A.L.K.E.R, and the various personal projects I have running.

I am a very inconsistent poster (as most of yall probably know by now.) Ngl, I often forget I have this account since I’ve had it for so long, but on occasion I shall return. So dw, I haven’t died or anything! I just literally forgot about yall …

I do ask that yall try your best to use tone indicators when dming me or submitting anything in my ask box! I am audhd and have a very hard time with tone, so if a joke doesn’t quite land the first time, I probably just didn’t understand your delivery haha

Seeing the recent bigoted comments by transgender Olympian Hergie Bacyadan, it's past time for the perisex trans community to address the normalized intersexism/interphobia that so many of us spread.

The intersex community is constantly used as a prop by the trans community. The most frequent way you see trans people speak about intersex issues is just to remind transphobes that sex isn't binary, which is meaningless when the trans community still strictly enforces intersexist binaries like AMAB vs AFAB and TME vs TMA and Transfemme vs Transmasc, all categories that many if not most intersex people, trans or cis, cannot fit neatly into. The trans community uses the intersex community to win arguments and than makes next to no effort to make our intersex siblings feel welcome.

When talking about HRT and gender affirming care for minors, the trans community almost never uplifts the voices of the intersex community who are often forced to undergo HRT as children and surgery on their genitalia as actual babies against their will. It is important for HRT and gender affirming care to be available to transgender children, it is just as important to keep these same things that can be life saving for trans children from being forced onto intersex children who do not consent.

I implore all perisex trans people to do some reading into the history of intersex activism, and the sad reality of life for intersex people today when so many governments and health systems are still bigoted against intersex people. Uplift intersex voices, always.

Onto the shrine, have three chalices or cups. Pour wine, after drinking some yourself, into the first cup for Hestia and say:

Pour wine into the cups for Zeus and Hera and say:

“Queen and King of Heaven, I give to you these libations to honor your marriage and the gifts you’ve bestowed upon mankind. Please look upon me with favor and bring abundance, love, and blessings into my life.”

Pour a final libation to Hestia and say:

“Hestia, first and last, I offer this final libation to you to end my rite.”

Continue:

“Oh great gods, ruling in Olympos, I end my rites and thank you for your benevolence.”

The ritual is ended.

This is basically like if humans could hybridise with THESE THINGS.

And then THEY GOT FISH OUT OF IT.

Like. You can quite clearly understand why they didn't think anything would happen. WE ARE MORE RELATED TO BLUE WHALES THAN THESE THINGS.

THE AMERICAN PADDLEFISH AND THE STURGEON ARE SO COMPLETELY UNRELATED THAT THIS IS NOT PLAYING GOD. IF ANYTHING THIS IS AN ACT OF GOD.

THESE THINGS, FOR HYBRIDS, HAD A REALLY HIGH SURVIVAL RATING. LIKE 70% OF THEM SURVIVED.

To put that into perspective, getting a blue whale and a squirrel and trying to hybridise them is more sensible, and that wouldn't produce anything but getting you banned from science. Most animals that aren't plants can barely hybridise two degrees away from each other.

BUT THESE TWO ENTIRELY UNRELATED FISH create PERFECTLY HEALTHY HYBRIDS.

the scientists literally had to do the tests AGAIN just to be like "okay this is real right. This is actually like, not a fluke, this works right" and it worked again. They just Can!
