Section design Workshop
Archimakers this week were introduced to a new orthographic drawing style known as a section. This drawing type negotiates the architectural qualities of a dwelling with the intent of understanding both the life and the structural qualities of the house.
Archimakers drew from imagination their understanding of a house that has been cut in to. The drawings created represented the children's dream houses. Archimakers were well in control of their orthographic drawing and had created some superb drawings. Well done!

Another incredible 'House Structures' model by Archimake member, age 5...! We are proud of his achievement! Please like and share this post..!
In the modelling workshop, ArchiMember designed a house with a pool and a garden. The model consists of combining squares with toothpicks assembled diagonally to allow greater support and stability of the structure.
Archimake provides school children with creative architecture and 3D design workshops. Through exploring a range of media such as wood, card, plastic, paper, pens and pencils, children creatively exercise their problem solving and logic skills. We run after school clubs at schools around London and are always looking for new schools to work with. Please contact us if you are a teacher and would like to discuss us coming to your school or are a parent and would like us to contact the Head Teacher at your childs school about delivering Archimake after school clubs there. We look forward to hearing from you. Archimake Team
ArchiMember's drawing titled ‘Water Building' by A. Pilliner Lorente, age 9. “I would make a good architect when I grow up!..- I'm good at hatching at least!" We are pleased that this perspective drawing of Falling Water by Frank Lloyd Wright has generated some new interests and skills..!
