“Okay this is going to sound stupid, and kinda lazy, but I was fixing myself a coffee after being at work all day and to my disappointment, there was no milk in the fridge. Now, you can understand my pain when I noticed this, and I obviously can’t be bothered walking to the store and getting milk, so can I please borrow some from you– and I’ll buy you a whole new one tomorrow. I’ll even throw in some chocolate. I’m desperate to finish making this coffee.”
“Wow, you poor thing.” Aria laughed, pouting her bottom lip our over-dramatically. “Yeah, come on, I’m sure I’ve got some.” She offered, swinging the door open wider, and motioning for Benji to come inside. The small clutter of art supplies in the corner of her living room seemed to slip her mind in the moment, it was a mess that she had grown all too used to. Aria trailed off into the kitchen for a quick moment, “Is almond milk alright?” She called out to the other room. “I think that’s all I’ve got.”
