Some more info on why I’m closing down my business below.

With heavy heart I must announce that I am closing down my registered business. Going full-time freelance didn't work out for me, sadly. I do appreciate all the support you've given me and all the nice words you had for my art. Even if you never left a comment, I do think of you and I appreciate you so much. 🫶

I don't know what's in store for my art in the future, but atm I looking to focus on some other types of art that is not fantasy nor fanart. I can't rule out drawing fanart ever again, but for now it's hard to say. I definitely need to take a long break and not think of art as a way of money making because that just ruined it for me. I tried various different things to make it work, but all they did was burn me out, ruined my health, and ruined my relationship with art. It's sad, but I know me and I know that it's temporary.

I'll stay active in the @palaeoiris collective, and am actually looking forward to doing art as a hobby again. I got into DIY paper recycling, and am looking into trying out woodcut priniting with DIY paper, ink, and repurposed wood. I'm also looking into how can my art be more in the service of the community. I had this lovely project I wanted to start once I get my business on its feet where I would draw free art for trans people in exchange for Patreon support of those who believe in the project. That's still my dream job, but I am too burnt out on art atm and can't even imagine myself picking up the brush let alone draw regularly. I'll be doing some sort of that kind of work for the Palaeoiris collective. (we also have a Discord server so you can come join us and follow our work there too)

I basically tried really hard to make this work but didn’t manage to make the work financially sustainable. All I got was burnouts & resentment for drawing.

I’m so grateful for all the support & nice words I got for my art. It was so heartwarming to know that my creations brought comfort & respite 🫶
