24, she/her. I have become total fandom trash for deltarune, especially Spamtenna. I'll reblog lots of stuff, sometimes post my own funnies or crappy art. Drop a follow if you like!
The Red Wire and the In Betweens (collection of works)
Plot Summary:
At the end of his battle with Kris and the Gang in Chapter 2, Spamton finds himself on the receiving end of an unexpected kindness. Kris agreed to give him a piece of their Soul as a potential way for him to live for himself again. It doesn't take long for him to realize that this Soul was vastly different than anything he could have expected, though. Not only are they fully sentient, but they seem to have a strange level of interest in Spamton and helping him achieve his goal of true freedom.
So Spamton agrees to help the gang going forward, understanding that he needs to get stronger so he won't have to rely on someone pulling his strings. Doing so allows him to reunite with people from his past, heal from his traumas and slowly regain a hold of his own life.
The Soul says they want what's best for him, but who knows. He's been burned by disembodied voices before.

Chapter 3: Give Up On Your Dreams Of Becoming A Big Shot
“Are you… saying your benefactor did this?” The Blue Addison asked as gently as they could.
Spamton laughed again. A single, short burst that forced another wave of pixels to break off and vanish from his face.
“And all I did… was choose someone else.” He laughed again, his head falling back from the force. “Talk about a [Toxic Workplace Relationship], [Am I right Lad Or Am I Right Lad]!”

Chapter 3 of Titan Rising: An Impromptu Spamton Anatomy Lesson
alright but what if Kris's staring at the How to Draw Dragons book before shutting the drawer and thinking they know they shouldn't and some things should stay shut is indicative of their feelings for Susie and
so I think what gets looked over here is the "shouldn't". Kris knows they shouldn't open the Krusie door. but it's not couldn't.
their ass isn't suffering because it's unrequited, it's because they think both Noelle and Susie are going to be better off together than with them.
Noelle literally says she doesn't feel like """running away""" with Susie in her life, and Susie says Noelle makes her have the best days she can have.
kris isn't screwed because it's unrequited, it's because they think they've solved Susie and Noelle's problems (which they may feel like they caused) by getting them together and now they aren't needed anymore.
Until the trees and seas just up and fly away
Until the day that eight times eight times eight is four
Until the day that is the day that are no more
Until the day the earth starts turnin' right to left
Until the earth just for the sun denies itself
Until dear mother nature says her work is through
Until the day that you are me and I am you
