the real reason the first interview went south is because daniel was not yet divorced and therefore could not relate to louis on a level of divorcee-to-divorcee. the second interview went so well because daniel, now divorced twice, could not only relate to louis on that level, but also could then sense a certain eau de divorce in the air and did not relent until he sniffed it out and ended another marriage.

That said, they decided to properly kiss on the show (and gosh I love them for it.)

Look at (some of) the Loustat kisses....

We get lip biting, tongue first (lol), and the camera is at an angle that leaves no way "out".

and now look at the ones in The Newsreader

The latter is called a "stage kiss" (though technically all these are, but... I think you know what I mean^^) - you kiss for the camera, you do so in a very specific way. Open way in, closing on the edges of it. (THIS IS NO DISSING THE NEWSREADER, I LOVE THAT SHOW!!! But they do kiss differently there.)

But they decided against that for Loustat, going full in. I think Eric also said that they had real guts to do so. Even this one. (If you enlarge it you can literally see Jacob opening his mouth a bit. Gnah.)

does it ever mess you up, the fact that the ring got boromir by making him think that with it he’d be able to defeat sauron. he’d be able to save his home, his people, he wanted to save them so bad. you know. the ring, the ring made by sauron to give him dominion over all the races of middle earth. that ring. and boromir knew that!! but he was so full of love for his city and his people that it didnt matter
