Just wanted to check in again, all good? Hoping that you are not still overrun with work. I know the feeling very well, worked all summer basically and had almost no time to rest. It sucked, big time.

And yes, I do also hope that partially selfishly cause I’m very much looking forward to reading the next chapter of your fic. Are you still enjoying writing? I have written some fanfic myself and know the feeling of getting some serious writer’s block. So I hope you are not dealing with it yourself. Hope you are well! And obviously no pressure - take all the time you need! Just wanted to check in!

If you don’t mind I’d also like to ask a question about your fic - did you ever during the writing process change your mind about where things were going? In regards to character or plot? And is so, what did you change (if you can share)? All the best!

I am still writing, but honestly the IWTV fandom ~at large~ has been such a wild, unpleasant place to poke around recently that, combined with work still being busy and a touch of writer's block, I have not been in the mood/right place to update! I'm so sorry, and I'm so touched that you're still thinking about the fic. I'm hoping that when things calm down I'll re-find the inspiration.

Hmm, no I tend to outline my fics beforehand, and the broad strokes stay the same. I always have a direction I'm sure I want a fic to go in, and then it's only really the smaller in-scene details I mess around with. The outline for Such Sweet Sorrow is actually really quite detailed for me, down to the beats of their conversation, which means I've got plenty of direction. I can share a screenshot of my very shoddy outline if you like, to show you what I mean:
