1. Symbolism At 0:36
The choreography here represents someone relying on you to support them, which can be toxic when it reaches a certain point.
2. Symbolism At 0:52
They cover their eyes and ears. They aren’t ready to accept the truth of what’s happening. They don’t want to acknowledge that they’re being hurt.
3. Jin and the Flower at 0:55
The flower represents his heart. The room explodes, meaning that the other person is getting too close to breaking him completely. He lunges to hide it and shelter it so he doesn’t get hurt even more.
4. Toys At 1:08
J-Hope locks himself up and tries to surround himself with only good and happy memories in an attempt to escape from current abuse.
5: The Choreography At 1:24
Jimin is able to point wherever he wants and the members do what he requests. This hints at manipulation in a relationship.
6. The Sink
At 1:29, Jimin starts at a sink that’s filling up with water. This is a visual for keeping emotions to yourself.
7. The Chair
There’s an empty chair at 1:33. This could either mean that somebody important has disappeared or that you’re not comfortable or not where you should be (mentally).
8. A Phonecall
V looks at his phone (1:54) before making a horrified expression. This could either be the person he’s with or the reality of the situation. He’s scared.
9. Falling Floors
Floors represent a base, a sense of security. We can tell at 1:59 that Jungkook no longer feels safe. It can also mean that everything he once knew or once felt is gone. Love gives off a sensation of Jamais Vu (relating to one of their other tracks, meaning something that should be familiar but isn’t.
10. Lights
Bits and pieces are slowly coming together. It’s being brought to light. At 2:20, he realizes what’s going on.
11. Taking The Blame
At 2:33, the dances displays them pointing fingers at each other. In the relationship, they accuse each other.
12. The Piano
In SUGA’s solo in WINGS (BTS’s album released in 2016), he talks about his first love which was the piano. In frustration, he lashed out and throws items at it. Something he once loved so dearly now angers him.
13. Snickers
Similar to a previous note, J-Hope is very focused on looking on the bright side (relating to his on-stage persona). Snickers are something seen as sweet, he’s getting drunk off of happy memories to numb the bad ones. He’s in the same room as the carnival toys, but it seems that there’s even more stereotypically happy items. He can’t stop focusing on good memories.
14. The Waterfall
This area shows all the feelings Jimin has kept to himself as well as the case Jin’s flower (heart) is supposed to be in.
15. Deal With The Devil
At 5:08, Jungkook eventually resorts to receiving help from someone skeptical. Possibly a risky coping method.
16. No Connection
The choreography at 5:18 shows one hand, not two. The couple can never agree and join hands.
