Pakistan plans to deport Afghan refugees on March 31, including women-activists whose return to their homeland is tantamount to death. Those who are not indifferent are trying to draw the attention of other countries to the problem and provide these women with asylum.

the wildest part about this scene is how calculated laurie is.

how she’s done this before so many times. even before this moment she knew rue was an addict and already relapsed the moment she gave her the suitcase. she knew she would never get her money back.

this scene really alludes but out right suggests rue was likely trafficked or her body was used some way which laurie suggests earlier.

she could’ve gave rue pills but instead introduced her to intravenous injection of morphine.

i really hope laurie’s character is explored more and they don’t drop the ball on the fact that she’s grooming countless young girls like rue.
