The Journey So Far!

My struggles as a Christian guy growing through faith how I back slid but came back to faith! My journey has had ups and downs and I feel it might be able to help others out there!

After only getting to bed at 2.30am Sunday morning, I then got up at half five to start getting ready for my trip/stay in Kilkeel! Three busses later from7.30am to 10.30am spent traveling I finally arrived and what I felt moving was amazing! From morning service to the family dinner I had with the now grown up youth I used to speak and pray for was amazing! To then head to two more services one in church the other in JIMS YOUTH CENTRE in Kilkeel! Such a sense of God & Holy Spirit! Spending even one day just refilling my cup of the Holy Spirit was so refreshing!! How do you all refresh your spirituality? I feel for all christians refilling yourself and taking time to spend to work on your relationship with God is so so important! PEOPLE OF FAITH AND THOSE WHO STRUGGLE!!! When you feel that something is happening in your life or taking shape listen to it! God works in wondrous ways, you will feel his presence you will want to pray ! Invest time in God as he has invested his time in you! 🙏🏻❤️. Pray and be one with the lord know he knows your heart and he loves you! Gifts that you have use them to lift up the Lord and to shout his name out! If you feel you are being told to do something by God do it! Pray listen and hear ! Watch out for the signs ! Write down what you feel he is telling you ! Things that I have done in my past I can not change. People always say about how amazing would it be to go back & change your mistakes? I would say the only thing I would change is that I would have a closer relationship with God, even when I didn't see it God was only testing me and I inturn was denying him and rejecting his teachings & his help!! The only thing I would change is to have been closer with Christ to be a better child Christ. How amazing would it be to go back & know every single time God was testing you ? That he was trying to better you? To make you a better child of God? Well all know we can't go back & do this but we can change who we are going forward what we are going to do for God ! How we are going to be better for God! Move forward with God, only go in the direction that God is going. In total and utter awe!!!! Do you ever just sit back and take it all in? Do you ever just sit back and think is this where I am meant to be?🤔 For years I have struggled with myself & things that have happened in my life which has put strain on not only myself physically and mentally but it has also hindered me spiritually. 😞 Over the past year or so I have been getting closer and closer to God & who he is & what it is he wants for me in life it has NOT been easy I have backslid I have bounced back I have made some bad mistakes. In saying that here I am. 😃 With working some Sundays & being up late I sometimes miss church on a Sunday & this is through no ones fault but my own as I should be up and ready to walk in & meet God at every opportunity given, this is not always the case. I forget I work I sleep in I AM HUMAN😃. I will always make mistakes I will never be perfect but in saying that for four years I have been getting a message of where I am meant to be and what my direction in life is ➡️➡️➡️ To be honest I have went with it and bounced from church to church meeting new People 🙋‍♂️🙋‍♂️🙋🏻‍♂️🙋🏻‍♂️🙋🙋🏽 also learning more about me 🙎🏻‍♂️⬅️ that's me 😂. Recently listening to my minister preach & the sermons he is delivering I feel God has set me up for something wonderful & special, something I will struggle with and thrive with!😌😌❤️ Where I was & who I was a year ago a month ago a day ago is not who I am today things change people change & that's what I am doing but for the better I am trying to lead a life for God & be the best I can be, still I will never be perfect,I am happy with this. I want to be flawed I want my imperfections I want to look back on my mistakes my slip ups & say. Through the help of God I am a better child of God through them I am a better person. "I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve." EXCITING TIMES AHEAD!!! 🙏🏻🔥😇👌😜 Today I got the first look at the place I could potentially be spending most of my next four years! Such a beautiful and quiet place! I didn't know it was possible to walk into somewhere and for it to feel so right. Four years my journey will take but also it has been four years of prayer failure tears uncertainty and arguments with myself and family on where I want to be and go. I have been so blessed to have had so many opportunities to do so many great and amazing things!!! Today I walked into the grounds of the belfast bible college and it just felt right! After four years of prayer I set foot in the grounds and felt so alive... I felt like this is where I am meant to be! Such a blessed day! Always remember how special you are ! Always fight to be the best! Even though it might be hard you have to keep going keep striving and keep struggling even in times of doubt! Patience is key and sometimes the silence you here can be deafening but it's worth it when you hear the answers you seek! I have struggles and I am still struggling, if it was easy then it wouldn't be worth it in my eyes, the path I have chosen it not going to be an easy on at all by any stretch of the imagination but over time with patiences and love from family and friends I will get there, I recently started a blog as a release for how I felt and what I have when through and tbh I have never been much of a reader or writer because I am rubbish at English and just point blank had no interest in it, now I find myself writing more and reading more. It's funny how times change and how you start to change as a person. I would like to think I am starting to change for the better. Along the way I will get comments and people trying to bring me down but I will always have passion and god on my side.. I still can not get over how over the past four years I have been bouncing from church to church making bad decision and having to deal with the repercussions of them which is ok now, now I know that there was meaning behind the madness I was subjecting myself too. I have now finally came home to where god has directed me. Now with the path I am walking I am so blessed as I have such a supportive family and friends group that support me and that let's me see that it's going to be worth it. 8am blogging! If anything this has given me a sense of release and pride in who I am and the journey that I have undertaken in the years. Christian and otherwise it has been good so far with it reaching over 300 people in several different countries from the uk to the USA right the way to India !!! So with the prayers I have prayed the answers I have got today I took the step in completing the first stage of my application into attending the belfast bible collage something I have thought about doing for years and have talked about for years ... after leaving my home church traveling around to different churches of various creeds and denominations over the past four years I have found myself going full circle and coming back to the thought of theology and ministry. Something that I have not taken lightly. Talking to my bosses, managers and friends in work and getting there opinions on the matter it has made me step back and realise I have such a support network when I leave my family that I'm never alone or need to struggle. I have to say I am so blessed to have found a place of work who supports me to the fullest and congratulates me on making this decision .. 🙏🏻 all I can say is thank you for the love cars and support!
