Okay yeah no offense I would rather be friends with people who do problematic fiction but are nice, kind people, then be friends with people who make morally conscious ‘pure’ fiction but are absolute shitheads who send death threats and start witch-hunts.

OK new game. Use this website to see how common your first name is, and then put that number in the tags.

The biggest problem with antis (aside from the harassment, ofc) is their refusal to take responsibility for their own online experiences. If they just did things like call out improper tagging and the like, then there would be no problem.
But instead, pretty much all of their issues stem from them not using precautions to keep themselves safe and, in fact, often going out of their way to put themselves in uncomfortable situations.
The majority of fannish sites, like tumblr and ao3, have filtering systems so that you don’t have to see anything that you don’t want to. Sometimes things slip through the cracks, but it’s easy enough to report them and move on. The only thing you have to do is fill out the filters, which for some gods forsaken reason, antis refuse to do. On forum sites, there’s specific rules and threads dedicated too different topics; if you don’t like the direction a thread is going, then you can leave and even start your own. Which, again, is something antis don’t seem to want to do. And of course there’s almost always a block system on those sites, a feature that antis don’t really utilize.
Instead of using any of these features to protect themselves from content they know they don’t like, antis expect everyone else to basically child-proof fandom and round off all the sharp edges in every fan space, to keep everything sunshine and roses and never veer anywhere near “problematic” content. We’re told that it’s okay to write and draw those things as long as we never share them which is? The exact opposite of what fandom is for???
And then there’s the antis who purposely put themselves into situations where they know they’ll be uncomfortable. They go into tags for ships they hate just to start drama, they go into shipping and kink spaces just to call people disgusting, and they start discourse just so that they can accuse people of harassing them just on the basis of replying. They even sometimes go “undercover” and join groups so that they can, what? Screenshot messages and make callout posts with them?
It’s selfishness and entitlement, plain and simple. You can’t go into a situation that you know you won’t like, without taking any precautions for yourself, and then get upset at other people because you got hurt. Take responsibility for yourself and stop blaming others for your own problems.
Time to bring this back because it’s still very true.

the whole “nonbinary is just woman with a fancy word” concept is so wildly disrespectful and transphobic towards the nonbinary community as whole like.. on every level . i think even for feminine aligned nb people it’s really disrespectful to their nonbinary identity. this trend of erasing nonbinary-ness under the lense of binary gender standards really is one of the most acceptable forms of transphobia
and dont start shit w me about any of this btw im not debating this with people lol
shout out to my fellow sexy bitches with adhd who use way more words than they really need to literally any time they write or type anything because their point has to come across 100% like they imagined it
is this post an example
